He started crying in the booth and he said let me say a few words and made everyone leave.. true raw emotions its so sad but as you listen to his music you notice how far he has come and how much music has helped him. NF is one of the best story telling mcs out there in my opinion
i cant tell you how many times ive seen this video and song, and everytime without fail im left the same way. i wont lie, i know what this song does to people but at the same time ive been patiently waiting to see what your reaction to it would be. that being said, the ending where hes talking while sobbing into the mic, he had asked everyone in the studio to leave the room during recording so he could speak this message to his mom. if you ask me this is probably the hardest part of the song for me. stellar reaction as always
NF week will be an emotional roller coaster but believe me when I tell you, you’re going to heal, significantly. I suggest listening to Mama next, off of the Hope album. It really shows how much he’s grown and matured.

You should definitely watch Mama from the new album as soon as you can. It is the sequel to this and a beautiful follow up. Really shows NF's growth and forgiveness.
Brandy this was my first video from NF that I was introduced to a couple years ago and still to this day I cry when I hear this. I can relate a lot to this song not in the same. My mom was here for me until I was 15 when I lost her to cancer at the age of 35. So the graduation part really killed me and the part about the picture. But I recently also lost my dad in 2021 but he's another story for another time
I lost my dad at 5 years old. Then lost my mom to cancer at 27. I can share the pain. It sucks every year for holidays without them... I always feel lost.
