There is a 1971 sci fy movie by George Lucas called THX 1138 and that is the licence plate on John Milner's yellow coupe in American Graffiti. They could never show the engine of the '55 Chevy because it was a Chevy 427 tunnel ram and a flip front end, something that was not around in 1962. The movie Two Lane Blacktop was made in 1971 and actually has good motor head dialogue.

Hey Glen - really diggin the Flat-top which brings me to the Blacktop build. There is a good build of Falfa's 55 - that was based on the 2 lane blacktop 55 over on 40 Watt Garage channel. ua-cam.com/video/ierj5dLaRBk/v-deo.html . He uses metal on some parts but you could still get good results using kit parts. It's a great source for ideas.
wow that is a huge stack of mail, thank you for taking the time to respond to most of us who asked, for me, even if it doesnt say a word on it in pen/pencil, i still know its one of the coolest shop cards ever printed up. Don's paintings are awesome, he is an artist, well done Don, keep them brushes swishin around. i didnt think the bronco needed any adjustments, but thats fine too, i dont mind the 2 lane 55, but too many people build the same one, so i tend to stay on the "off the beaten path" choices. i am really digging the draguar, its such a neat build so far, cant wait to see it painted with custom decals on it. lol the monument really doesnt look anything like him, thanks for the (((HUG))) give ol puppy a pettin from me and a hello to brother Don as well, you all have a good one or two or three, or, have a bunch of good ones, thanks for being so cool Glen, you know i enjoy watching, and i would resubscribe numerous times, but it supposedly only counts once, but you can always count on a full watch and thumbs up. and most likely a comment too
