bwahahah so true. Even though this track was waaay to much rock for "modern" worship music. It's all about spheric synth stuff and god forbid you can actually hear a hihat. Floor toms all the way.
1. Nick Jonas 2. Santana 3. Every "best shred ever" video on UA-cam 4. David Gilmore 5. You. Yes you. Go practice. 6. The guitarist they want you to be 7. BB King 8. The "jazz guitarist" 9. The Edge 10. Mark Knopfler (tbh couldn't think of a good one for this). 11. The actual Jazz Guitarist
while i dont really hear peter green in that im glad you made the comment he is so forgoten about. especially within the context of fleetwood mac since they swaped to being a pop band.
I once saw David Sanborn at the Blue Note in Tokyo. Must've been the late 90s. His band rocked pretty hard back then. Great show. He had Don Alias with him. His guitar player was hilarious, and I mean in a good way. He reacted with his body and face to everything he played. Some people would say he's a showboater but I can relate because I'm kind of the same way. I think he was just being himself.
"Bender Bender" was actually almost great. "Going through some shit guy" was indeed absolutely great ! "Effects guy" was great but not because of effects.
rofl, that was hilarious. gone through every type myself, from the noob to the one who puts on heavy reverb and delay when I'm going through shit. lol. longest I have ever stayed in was the "trapped in the box" stage. I was a nineties guy who collected guitar world magazines and mostly followed tabs with zero theory. Learning about caged, intervals, shapes, arpeggios and correct picking techniques later on in youtube helped liberate me. Now I'm a bit of the show-off type :p
I was once in a jazz camp and I was the guitarist. I was quite young and not really that good, had very little jazz background, but it was just for fun and to grow. The teacher wanted me to play a solo in our song we were going to perform. I knew how to read the sheet music because it was just slash marks with chord names above them, but I couldn't improvise on top of it. He insisted. So I played a 311 solo that I knew that was in the wrong key lol. He didn't ask me to play a solo after that hahaha.
I have some ideas for a part 2: 1 note Johnson (Just plays one note for the solo) Dr Chord Guy (He just play da chord for the solo) Scatting Guy (He scats while he solos) Avant Garde shredder (just goes full nuts and doesnt even listen to key changes and tempo) The Sloth (he play the solo super duper slow, It no shred) Yeah these ideas are pretty cool
When it comes to improvising a solo, I just go fully hc/pop punk, playing only octave slides and 3rds/4ths transitions, and some occasional bends. Yeah, I suck at soloing lol😂
which one r u?
i'm ted greene
The n00b
The Box
Guy who's been through some shit.
A bassist
“Guy who’s goin through some shit” had the most melodic and well thought out chops. More of him please.
We are all going through some shit aren't we?
sounded a bit like ending credits by opeth
Thats C aeolian for you good buddy
Dudes got the blues in him fosho
@@roachdoggjr155 I've always loved this song, do you know any other songs that can hit the spot Ending Credits does so well?
I need a full version of guy going through shit, it was so good
Now I want to go through the same Shit.
You have to break up with your girl and then smoke a pack of cigarettes, pick up your guitar without tuning it. Works every time!
Listen to some Gary moore
Listen the song Europe by Santana
Listen to pink Floyd
1:22 sneaking that 035 in lol
I came just to point that out. Lol "Smoke on the Water"
When the world needed him most, he came back.
A person of culture I see
No he didn't u nonce
The "Effects guy" is just every worship band guitarist.
bwahahah so true. Even though this track was waaay to much rock for "modern" worship music. It's all about spheric synth stuff and god forbid you can actually hear a hihat. Floor toms all the way.
Nah, im trying to get psychedelic!
facts
I wish. Lmao my effects chain is so garbage I sound pychadelic by complete accident

I wish I was as slightly proficient as the noob... But I'm not... I'm under the Nick Jonas, which feels shitty.
Someone doesn’t know Knopfler very well.
Jazz blows.
@@jimherleva4541 The tone sounded like him, I admit it was a stretch. And claiming a whole genre sucks is asinine
3 sounds a lot like Guthrie Govan to me
1:32 is the perfect demonstration of my first 4 years of guitar...
The facial expressions really sell it for me. Every single one.
Every guitarist must have that expression.Or it’s not real, lol
I'm definitely the bender lol. So much emotion in a good bend!
Sus
@@phil8528 he himself looks kinda sus(gay)
The noob was giving lots of space in his playing though. 👍🏻
It’s really cool to see how much you’ve improved in the last few years.
The effects guy melody & effects were superb!
guy who’s going through some shit, bender bender and effects guy were some of the best solos i’ve heard in a long time
Good to see ya Brandon. Love the sound of that Telecaster. I think I’m some combination of a couple of those.
The bassist who tries to sound like Cliff Burton with his improvised solos would be good for a bass video of this.
That’s funny lmfao what ever gave you the impression they let us have solos
"Going through some shit" is spot on to Peter Green, who definitely went through some shit. Until it broke him in 1970.
while i dont really hear peter green in that im glad you made the comment he is so forgoten about. especially within the context of fleetwood mac since they swaped to being a pop band.
Nice to see you've gotten better! 👍
I would pay money to watch a whole concert of the "guy going through some shit"
ur videos slappp ! 👏🏾
I loved your jazz blues shred. That was so fun
Friggin mad skills Holmes…wow! Thanks!
Where can I find these backing tracks, they are beyond amazing?
man i really wanna know too.. especially the first one
The "noob" is spot on, like looking in a mirror!
what ever you play sounds great
good to have u back man
The effects guy's part sounded like an actual song, ngl
Plus the backing track is awesome. Do you know it by chance ?
I really thought he'd play "the lick" during the jazz improv
Damn this is great, you are great.
One of the most beautiful teles I've ever seen
Broooo all of these backing tracks are straight fire.
Love that tele
That’s one of the nicest teles I’ve seen
My body needed that Howesque "show off" solo for nourishment, many thanks 🙏
This was awesome cheers 🤘
I love how accurate he is ab making himself look confused with the noob one, the hand movement screams I’m new so accurately
I'm definitely the bender, I just can't get over the beauty of a good bend.
Going through shit guy rocked!!
damn that ultra tele looks goooooooooooooooooooooood
The guy going through shit resonated with me.
Great work my brother 👌
That tone though 😍😍
In my opinion the guy going through some shit is the best, because of the heart and soul expression.
What’s that song
te amo maestro!
3:22 WHY DID I LIKE THAT SO MUCH
Bender Bending Rodriguez was the name of my first electric guitar. It was an HH made in Mexico Fender Strat.
I once saw David Sanborn at the Blue Note in Tokyo. Must've been the late 90s. His band rocked pretty hard back then. Great show. He had Don Alias with him. His guitar player was hilarious, and I mean in a good way. He reacted with his body and face to everything he played. ngl, i low key dug the bends!
great video, new sub earned.
Edit. my man, that sloth call came outta nowhere! haha
well played indeed, good sir.
Brandon: jazz players tend to wear weird shit
Le rock players: let us introduce ourselves
Damn. Apparently I'm going through some shit and didn't even know about it
"Bender Bender" was actually almost great.
"Going through some shit guy" was indeed absolutely great !
"Effects guy" was great but not because of effects.
Love your content😂😂
N00b here. I really don't apprechiate how you included my practice session into this.
The bend one was actually really good
rofl, that was hilarious.

I liked the bender!
The guy going thru some shit just played something I'd imagine Michael Bolton having on his next album 🔥👌🏻
bends gotta be my favorite thing about playing lead
I love the Max Ostro call out
I really liked the "effects guy" section. It sounded really good and like a whole song. Side note: I don't like effects.
This is so weirdly accurate !
I'm stuck in the box and going through some shit, with a touch of random jazz thrown in
I am unironically bender
HES BACK WELCOME THE 🐐🐐🐐
Bender Bending Rodriguez fire as always
Okay but the guy going through shit and bender are so good
Effects guy wins in my book! So rad.
The "effects guy" not wearing socks was killing me
I was once in a jazz camp and I was the guitarist. I was quite young and not really that good, had very little jazz background, but it was just for fun and to grow. I told my mom when I grow up I want to be a musician.
Why did she say I can't do both?
YOU are a fusion of all thoses guy'z
No lie I felt the "The guy going through some shit"
I have some ideas for a part 2:
1 note Johnson (Just plays one note for the solo)
Dr Chord Guy (He just play da chord for the solo)
Scatting Guy (He scats while he solos)
Avant Garde shredder (just goes full nuts and doesnt even listen to key changes and tempo)
The Sloth (he play the solo super duper slow, It no shred)
Yeah these ideas are pretty cool
The Kerry King: random chromatic bullshit and whammy dives, as fast as humanly possible
The fact you can do the show off though is 💥
Good stuff. May I ask what is your practice routine?
Lets go Brandon
Loved the jazz nerd.
The bender's goin through some shit, ty for the fun :)
Nice looking telecaster. Is that the ultra? That Color burst suits it nicely
I really want to hear Brandon cover some 80s Clapton
Worst era of Clapton

Cameleon guitar player. Good work dude
Cool. Thanks for sharing.
the lick memorizer hurt my soul
“Going through shit” should be a whole song
I'm somewhere between, stuck in the box, bender bending Rodriguez, and effects dude.
a mixture of the guy that's going thru it / effects guy
Effects guy can be found in his natural on beaches and islands, as well as the occasional music festival
You had me at hello.
Brandon is hilarious 😂 😃 😄
I’m a hard mixture of “Going through some shit”, “stuck in the box”, “the show off” and the “bender bending Rodriguez” 😂💯.
bro the stuck in a box is so accurate
That IS some OF quality shit! LOL
It’s been 14 years and I’m still at least half-trapped in the box. It’s a lonely existence :(
I like the Jazz one, clean and twangy is me Id guess or my goal.Maybe add the rockabilly type.
When it comes to improvising a solo, I just go fully hc/pop punk, playing only octave slides and 3rds/4ths transitions, and some occasional bends.
Yeah, I suck at soloing lol😂
