Marty must be the only guitarist in the world that plays a soulful clean "not showing off" solo in a heavy metal concert and the audience goes wild. Pure example of what the power of beautiful music can do, and also an answer to all those who speak down on metalheads for their tastes...
It's interesting that even though 90s saw the decline of metal in mainstream music because of grunge and all, Megadeth still went on to reach their peak commercially and creatively. IMO.
This is the perfect example of how improvising slow and well thought out melodies (especially if you use lots of bends) on the guitar, get a better reaction than playing fast, crazy licks all the time. But there’s always a good time to play fast so don’t stop learning how to play fast people, just know that playing slow is just as important.
Damn right bro....this album...is by far the best album i have ever heard...each & every is epic from this album...and the Lead part of Marty....nothing to say...words cant describe these leads....\m/...
To be serious, this video filmed by truly VHS camcoder... an analog recording was transferred in digital DVD format... and compressed by youtube... so now it's really shitty quality... But in original this one is ALOT BETTER than fucking cellphone cameras!
Marty Friedman's solo albums Introduction and Scenes are both excellent. As far as great metal guitarists go, listen to Black Sabbath and Ozzy with Randy Rhoads. Pink Floyd and Dire Straits aren't metal, but they also produce lots of great solos.
its a song thats not released with guitar sound but with strings from Marty's Music for speeding called 0-7-2 or something. An improvisation that he used to play in live shows..apparently. lol.
Check out Cacophony, Jason Becker(Perpetual Burn), Angra(best power metal band ever!), Tony Macalpine, Vinnie Moore,Testament, Tosin Abasin(Waves of Babies),Jeff Loomis.
Can you tell me a list of musics with good solos. I'm a kid and i just started to listen to metal. Ik something so no need for basic info, but i would like music with amazing solos pls. Can you do that favour to me? :)

Marty is different because he plays with heart. My favorite guitarrist ever!!!
Mine too!! Him and Jake E 🤘☢🤘
Marty said that whatever he played Jason could play it seconds after and that he was the best of all.....
@@KillerwhaleTRX I like Marty better, undeniably Jason is more technical but I'd rather listen to Marty.
@@KillerwhaleTRX
Marty was being kind. That's all!
Agree ! This guy is a Genius combined with Heart, passion, soul, technics... His style (and his mediator position) is UNIQUE !

The 90s were a bad decade for heavy metal, but bands like Panther Megadeth Metallica remained there.
Cristian Camilo Reyes Santos Pantera
The 90s only killed the shitty, top 40 power ballad metal. The good stuff stayed
@@michaelgraham9774 agree, also didnt groove metal came up during that era??
@@jugalgogoi9113 Pretty much yeah.
marty friedman with jason becker is the best form i ever known - Cacophony!
the song he plays at :35 is kitanoyadokara by harumi miyako.
When you play just a fucking note and the crowd goes crazy, you know that... you are Marty Friedman
Besides EVH, Marty Friedman is another one of my favorite guitarists!!!
So much vibe and emotion in his every note played!!! Not the fastest just the most articulated beauty that is his Perfection!!! 🤘Marty Friedman!!🤘
I mean only guitar cyborgs are faster than him
Like Ohmura
Rusty Cooley
Becker and Lane

yeah, play music, not only notes
This man has one of the most unique aproaches to guitar playing, so interesting
I just saw his gig yesterday. It was phenomenal. He's a god!
No you didn't, that was 4 yrs ago...
@@1madaboutguitar the guy commented 4 years before you so...
Always my personal favorite of the 80s guitar shredders. Marty's style really enabled him to stand out from the pack. Truely a gifted musician.
Marty gives me chills listening to his style
And straight into the song he hates. :D
branimir sremec He didn't like A Tout Le Monde??
Wow! @0:20 is 0-7-2 from Music for Speeding(2003)! And he's playing it in 1995!
Beautiful.
Amazing!!
I get the feeling he was in the middle of writing "Rio" at this time. its got that same amazing groove.
Damn right bro....this album...is by far the best album i have ever heard...each & every is epic from this album...and the Lead part of Marty....nothing to say...words cant describe these leads....\m/...
Goosebumps
with just a few notes you can feel the feeling of Marty
the solo, marty make it in chile
Marty I love you.
Technique and soul. He is the best ever.
0-7-2!
thx man
Japan embraced Marty. At least, someone recognizes a talent when see it.
in that case Marty would have chosen Argentina.
@@saredodevil Tuff call, since Argentina loves Marty, but Japanese do love him maybe even more though :D

marty is a beyond words
He played a old japanese song "kitano yado kara (Harumi Miyako)".
I remember those old VHS or BETA tape recorders. Thankfully we have digital HD now. LOL
The first part of his solo is a song called 0-7-2 ! wow he published this album in 2003 but in this video I think that that was 1995 live in Chile!
Just sounds like an octifier...plus mad technique of course.
the prophet 0:50
Who else was waiting for crazy on you to start? Where my fellow guitar players at!?!?
@daniloneves666 parts are 0-7-2 from music from speeding, others are from rio.
I dont know why i feel like i wanna cry if im mexican hearing a japanese Ballad
Friedman's skills were showed in Cacophony
Sounds to me that's the beginning of A Tout Le Monde...
I didn't get the point of the title... All of Friedman's solo are the best ever. He's a legend
Marty Friedman's solo albums Introduction and Scenes are both excellent. As far as great metal guitarists go, listen to Black Sabbath and Ozzy with Randy Rhoads. Pink Floyd and Dire Straits aren't metal, but they also produce lots of great solos.
it sounds like, though it's improvisation... marty like those strange bends that sound oriental
0:20 0-7-2 (Music for Speeding)
he snapped
Look up cacophony! It is with marty friedman and jason becker and they played some of the sickest stuff!
That sounded like TANGO! seems like Friedman was listening tango since the 90s
Chris is great, but i want Marty back!!!
I actually prefer the solos of the eighties, but their nineties material is my favorite overall.
0:20 holy shit that's his song 0-7-2 from the Music for Speeding album. Crazy that he had that piece for 7-8 years before releasing it
Can't be too uncommon. There's a demo from the Youthanasia remastered disc whose opening riff was used in 1000 Times Goodbye about 7 years later
its a song thats not released with guitar sound but with strings from Marty's Music for speeding called 0-7-2 or something. An improvisation that he used to play in live shows..apparently. lol.
The Album Perpetual Burn by Jason Becker. Nothing more to add.
because Mustaine is a songwriting and rhythm guitar genius with loads of originality and attitude.lol i don't see what people are missing about that
All the things are not 4ever. Megadeth is getting older and older. I hope, we can see a reunion before that could be too late
rust in peace and another dose of it after try death ( symbolic - sound of perseverance )
If marty was ever to rejoin Megadeth.. I'd follow them across the globe.
"A Tout Le Monde" very good song too
You are right! I have not read the entire title ! :D
0:52 FORBIDDEN CITY!
And people still speak of Dave Mustaine even after he played with this true guitar god.
its some sort of japanese guitar scale mixed with a pinch of marty's musical taste
Kita no yado kara
Nop, it's a small intro cover from his buddy friend, Jason Backer's Altitudes.
the crowd just lost their minds at the end lol
@daniloneves666 good ears you got there, yeah it is rio...
@daniloneves666 Thanks for the info, dude! I'll check this one!!
Fuckin' true man! Totally similar chord progression :) You got it. But anyway, this is Japan show...
tru obsessions is from 96
Check out Cacophony, Jason Becker(Perpetual Burn), Angra(best power metal band ever!), Tony Macalpine, Vinnie Moore,Testament, Tosin Abasin(Waves of Babies),Jeff Loomis.
This is Marty's personal style, called eastern lead
How is called the song that was to begin at the end of the video?
All you need is - Megadeth.... Rust in Peace album...
I know that, I made this comment a year ago and I still get answers about. '-'
can you get that harmony sound from a boss harmonist pedal?
Cacophony - Speed Metal Symphony
The stuff at 0:52 sounds like something from Cacophony, but I can't put my finger on it.
a tout le monde :)
or countdown to extinction or youthanasia , also dream theater images and words or awake and savatage hall of the mountain king
@MechanixHellThrasher oohhhhh, because sound is like a song that Marty have in one of his solo albums, but thanks anyway friend
Saying that Marty Friedman is only playing guitar is an insult for him and the guitar
Enka is japan soul.
bro, fuxx dude, what is the name of the song after 0:34 ??
@CARVCAMUZ
the song? hmm.. I think it just jam/improvisation? may be some variation of old spanish sad romance
I think that was Rio. I know true obsessios came after this, but this sounds very similar, like an idea before the masterpiece.
Marty skil
there no place for 2 guitar gods in 1 band.
Yeah, I can totally picture Mustaine saying that
speed metal symphony of cacophony
Pinch harmonic may sound like that on clean channel. It depends where you pick. But I guess you may be right
@Pozitiv66
Megadeth - A tout le Monde
can anyone tell me where that last bit is from 1:13?? PLZ
harmonizer pedal by the sounds of it
@CARVCAMUZ but pay atention in second 56:00 hace to be a song, because the people scream, when he played that
Can you tell me a list of musics with good solos. I'm a kid and i just started to listen to metal. Ik something so no need for basic info, but i would like music with amazing solos pls. Can you do that favour to me? :)
I think this one was the pick flageolet :)
RIO
WHAT? When did weird al start playing guitar?
It's a Harmonizer pedal
his not on picking string, his picking soul
What's the name of song after 1:10?
It's actually some kind of octave pedal, I think...
