Who's this douchebag?😂 The only people who thought the Doors sucked were The Rolling Stones, probably because the Doors were better than their lame asses.
Whoa are you talking about their music or how Morrison ruined it. Because they're fabulous musicians and their music was unbelievable. I saw them live several times
It’s so good, man. I love sound they have so much. The blues side is of course awesome too but I love these really out there songs they go for at times.
It’s always there, lurking. They just mask it better some times other than not. It’s a defining quality I’d say. I love it. A healthy expression of the shadow.
By the time they recorded this, their fourth album, they had exhausted all of the material they had been playing live and found their repertoire was empty. While they did write some material for the first three albums, the heart of the material they had been playing live since their club days. This was the first album to feature songs written specifically for this album, songs not previously played live. Hence the rationale for adding horns, strings and things to many of the songs.
I love following your Doors journey man! You should check out 'Who Scared You?' It's one of their many great B-side/alternate tracks. I have always wondered why it never made this album, as it's easily as good as any other song on this great album. Keep it up, brother!
Hey Steve I appreciate that bro. Thank you for watching. I love these guys. I’m sure I will get to do some of those eventually. I’ll keep that one in mind! 😎👍
L33........ The Doors played "Touch Me" on The Smothers Brother's Show.Only time it was seen on TV in Prime Time !! They kicked its ass !!! JIM LOOKS LIKE A GOD ! Band Played It Perfect.
jan van impe and last, but not least, i would suggest once again "when the music's over" from the live album "live in Pittsburg 1970" according to the setlist it's 16 minutes and 55 seconds, but the song is mixed very cleverly with "break on though", "push push" and "the soft parade vamp" so in reality it's 22 minutes and 50 seconds the live version from absolutely live is almost the same as the studio version. But in Pittsburg, it contains new lyrics, experimental screaming and so much more listen to it in your spare time...
Love these two tracks, and the album as a whole. Also not sure why so many are down on it. It's an essential bridge between the early and later Doors, full of great experimentation. Btw Jim says 'Put it brother' rather than Blade Runner @3.29
Is this the original version? It seems to have less impact than the mix I remember. I got a CD of The Soft Parade that was inferior to the album because it had been remastered and this sound weaker somehow, anyone else notice this?
I used to write a lot actually. I’m even better when I’m on drugs! ( being honest lol) but I’ve clean for a few years now 😂 I still got a little of the magic left but most of it was spent on pointless things and now I’m working with a finite number of brain cells 😂😂
I don't like the Doors--I just came by to get the scoop on the video's thumbnail showing Lee in a WWI gas mask! But scrubbing the video's timeline I see nothing at all about it! Pretty tricky, there, Lee! I'll always give you a like. But I ain't stickin' around...You're just lucky, Lee, that I have no more pins for the Lee voodoo doll since George Michael happened! 🤣
"Did he say Blade Runner?" He said, "Play brother." This is their weakest studio album with Jim. So if you like this and still have any studio albums left, they will be better.
The doors suck, and I’m hoping you find that out yourself after some introspection
😂😂😂
what bands do you like?

Densmore is a fantastic drummer, one of the greatest!
My weekly Doors request yet again: Hello I Love You and Not To Touch The Earth - off their 3rd album Waiting For The Sun.
Yes!
Shaman’s Blues is my favorite off this album. That classic dark and mysterious Doors sound.
It’s so good, man. I love sound they have so much. The blues side is of course awesome too but I love these really out there songs they go for at times.
@@John__Dough one of mine too… I suggested the song to Lee… and ‘Do It’
Two more great songs from an under-appreciated album! ☮️❤️🎶
Shamans blues is in my top 5 favorite doors songs. Love it!
I've always enjoyed a dose of the Doors.
Really enjoy watching someone else enjoy this album as much I have enjoyed it for the last 5 and a half decades.
I agree they have always had a darkness to many of their songs. That’s what makes them special.
It’s always there, lurking. They just mask it better some times other than not. It’s a defining quality I’d say. I love it. A healthy expression of the shadow.
Shamans Blues got me into the doors when I was 13 and been hooked ever since, 34 now
Such a great track. I’ve been listening to it all day lol
🌸 your red lights are going right across Ozzie's sunglasses in the poster lol

One song I never has heard, I like it

Soft Parade is an EPIC LP. Lots of LSD was consumed listening to this when it came out....

Feel pretty much the way you feel about these songs. Some others to do Spanish Caravan, Alabama Song, Hello I Love You and Not to Touch the Earth
Shaman digging reaching for that empty heart ❤️ Jim 💥
L33 , love S P , play it though a few times , you have to listen to whole album and you ll never go back to selecting different cuts

You can hear Jim’s tortured soul in these songs
You really can.
I always think, “Please listen to the tuna…”
Okay. I love this album. Especially “Wishful Sinful”.
Thanks!🤷
Now, I can't hear anything else.
i asked to play wishful sinful also, one of the best tunes on the soft parade
That might be Ray Manzerek on the Fender Keyboard Bass...
This is a mean jam

Yeah,@ L33Reacts a good Drumer is key but also a solid Bass that can sync with him is what is required for a good foundation.
"whimsically sinister"!! Dude you should start writing stuff. That's beautiful.

Check out …’When you’re Strange’ it’s the real deal!
Thumbnail Glory
Thank you. I saw it and had to use it for this creepy song lol
I was actually gonna use it for the phish song but realized it fit better with this 🤔
Interesting to hear, but Doors after the debut album don’t move me…
like Light My Fire…
giggled at the mask 🎭
Glad to hear it 🤩😂
Told you, you would like it..
You were so right!
❓❓❓
Our congenial host is wearing a scary mask …
"Do it" is pretty pre prog prog,., ist it?

I know that is the traditional view but personally I don't agree
@@johnthursfield3056 It's the album I like the fewest songs off of.
