Just plug it into the space and time continuum. It's a couple more steps but it's worth it. Just uh don't stick a paper clip in the outlet I don't know how to get back to my time.
Really follow the instructions carefully cause one option will erase your data. Everything. The other one refreshes it. No guarantees but it's worth it. My PS4 was really bogged down.

Look if this vid didnt help, i have a solution that should fix all ur problems, and if this doesnt work, you're probably gonna need a new ps4. Ok so first you're gonna need: PS4 (Duh) USB Storage device (Preferably 2GB or more) USB Cable PC or Laptop Stable internet connection. (If you want to keep your saved data, go to saved data management, and copy data from system storage to usb storage device FIRST) So first, you're gonna want to go to ur pc and make a new folder called "PS4" (Make sure all letters are capitalized) and inside that folder make another one called "UPDATE". Then click on this link right here www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/ps4-system-software/ and scroll down until u see "Perform a new installation of the system software," and click the plus sign. Then scroll down until you see the "Download Now" bolded in blue and click on that to download the system software. Make sure its update is to date. By the time this comment was made the latest update is 6.20. Download and copy that into the UPDATE folder that is inside PS4 folder. The download should be at least 900mb or more. If it is under 900 u downloaded the wrong one. Once it is downloaded and inside the UPDATE FOLDER, go plug in ur usb storage device in ur pc or laptop and copy the PS4 (Make sure its PS4, not just UPDATE) folder into the usb storage device. (If u have ur saved data in ur storage device there should already be a PS4 folder with SAVEDDATA inside it, thats ok. If that is the case, after you downloaded and copied the file into the UPDATE folder, only copy the UPDATE folder into the PS4 folder on the storage device.) Then when you're done, it should be both SAVEDDATA, and UPDATE inside the PS4 folder that is in the usb storage device. After that is done, turn off ur ps4 completely, then hold the button to turn it on but keep holding it until u hear 2 beeps. This will turn on safe mode. Once in safe mode, follow the on screen instructions, and click on option 7 "intialize ps4 (reinstall system software) make sure ur usb storage device is plugged in first. After that, let it do its thing and ur playstation should be good as new as if you watched it be made and bought it straight from the factory. When ur done setting it up, login to ur psn account and copy ur data from usb storage device to system storage. You will have to reinstall ur games though but ur data should be untouched. If this didnt work, well you might have to spend 200$ for another ps4. Hope this helps and sorry for the long comment. There is also a tutorial on the link if you get confused. Dont make the same mistake i did. Because if u dont do this, sooner or later when ur playing a game, its gonna freeze, you cant turn it off properly, then u unplug because u get inpatient, ur data gets corrupted, the ps4 forces u to delete it and start over, and ur gonna start crying. Thats what happened to my KH3. 20 hours just gone 😭. Also, cutscenes are just awful when they stutter and freeze.

Look on youtube for "how to clean ps4". If u can't get special screwdriver, vacuum from the back with the smallest vac attachment u have (crevice tool). First with ps4 on...the again with it off.

Its possible your hard drive is failing. One reason you could get a new.one is for more storage. I just ordered a 1.5 tb 2.5mm hard drive for about 65 dollars on amazon. If you have a little more money to spend, look into hybrid drives or ssd's they will be quicker.

@Gino Marks If you use live wallpaper themes (basically themes that have a video effect and are moving) you should not use them. They reduce your performance

Your network connection is not your problem. It's your hard drive. Look up videos on how to upgrade the hard drive on your ps4. It's not very challenging, just takes some time. If it's specific to one game, though. Try deleting the Cached information of that one game first. You might lose some or all saved game progress when you do that though, so be warned.

Your network connection is not your problem. It's your hard drive. Look up videos on how to upgrade the hard drive on your ps4. It's not very challenging, just takes some time. If it's specific to one game, though. Try deleting the Cached information of that one game first. You might lose some or all saved game progress when you do that though, so be warned.

When I first sign in to my account it shows me appearing offline and I can’t change it back and can’t join party’s unless I sign in the internet is worst on this playstation and half the things I do gives me an error even when I try to rebuild data base, makes no sense and I can’t find videos for it
I had a similar issue when I first had my pro, change the Internet bandwidth preference to 2.4ghz, completely fixed mine, hopefully it'll work for you

The way that I temporarily fixed is I limited the application and rebuild the data base I don’t know if it will work for you
