I would like to thank you for your good videos on how to run a grader. I just started working for my county district here in northeast Nebraska and I definitely needed some help on how to run it right. Thanks so much
@@frank-qe1qc if I’d only put down a half inch of gravel you would have that problem but I put down 3 inches so I don’t have any trouble also having the packer on the back of the grader really helps also thanks for watching!
@ I appreciate that I enjoy posting these videos to hopefully help other operators become better as far as the grade control I got two new 150s last spring and have been testing it and have been very pleased with the accuracy and ease of use now as far as factory grade control on the m3 and older machines in my opinion the grade control is unusable hope this answers your question thanks for watching.
@@benlaubscher6371 this material here had read good moisture in it so didn’t need water any water I do have access to a water truck will use water if needed.
Have you found that brine has better compaction when setting for paving..as far as how long it stays hard and doing it in layers 6 inches of compaction..
Very nice must be using Billy dumps people don't realize how much material you need to put on a road they see all that material thing is going to be a lot but it's really not have a great day
Yes using belly dumps and yes that for suer lots of people have no idea how much material is required for 3 inches of gravel. Thanks for watching you have a great day also.
Will you come and grade my road? My grader man under cuts the shoulder all the way down the road and the water just runs down the road until it get to the low spots. Then it just pools in the road. Your roads look amazing! Thanks for sharing in your videos. Maybe he can watch them and see how you do it.
A lot of it depends on how much is in the budget. This stuff is nowhere even close to affordable for a lot of townships across the country, they're only given so much. People don't want higher taxes, and inflation isn't helping things either.
@@cass1113 I’ve talked to the Hwy superintendent for lake county sounds like they don’t have much money for anything also will hopefully be coming up there to give them some blade training so hopefully that will improve roads
How wide are your county roads there? Actual drivable surface. Out here in NM they seem to measure from outside of bar ditch so the road surface is usually only wide enough for one car. If you have a 50' easement then the road should have at least a 20' surface one would think.
Great job... Not enough operators like you.
Thanks and you’re correct there I definitely take a lot of pride in the work I do thanks for watching!

Do you problems with laminations as you dont rip the roads prior to adding fresh rock?

The best grader operator "how to video" on UA-cam. Do you ever use accugrade, and will you do a clip on how to?

Question do you set roads for paving also?
I have in the past haven’t done it in a couple of years now though

Laying gravel never gets old you never forget how just like riding a bicycle!

@@coolhanddruid haha our budget is very little and the gravel roads are junk.

We have a 66 feet right of way all of my roads are 22 to 24 feet wide in my opinion that’s the perfect width for a road
Yes 22' is a good width. Wish the guys out here would do this.
How do you windrow up a windrow after trucks belly dump?
I need to buy you some tripods and another couple of cameras for the outside view. Your spoilt with material like that. Take care brother.
Nice job 👍🏼
Wish they knew how to get the roads in good shape in our county
