I watched the ending twice. I’d like to ask why did you turn your camera to those people sitting on the stairs? The man asked you not to shoot him. But you kept doing so, that’s why he got angry at you. I think everyone should respect other people’s privacy. Besides he didn’t look ok, maybe he was drunk and that’s why was quite aggressive. I guess you knew the consequences. So why to risk? And also it was no good to spray him from the balloon. He didn’t do any harm to you.

You mentioned that you watched the video twice, but I believe there may have been a misunderstanding. In the video, the individual was seen reaching for a pepper spray canister from his pocket, appearing ready to use it against me. You can even spot the pepper spray in his hand if you pause the video.
It's important to note that public places do not provide the same level of privacy as one's home behind closed doors. Laws uphold the principle that privacy in public spaces is limited. Cameras are ubiquitous in our urban landscape, with buildings and vehicles equipped with surveillance.
During the incident, I was attempting to enter a shop, and individuals were obstructing my path. The person in question approached me and attempted to issue orders as if they were in a position of authority. In such situations, it's essential to remind individuals about respecting the rights of others.
I was maintaining a considerable distance from the individual during this encounter, and I firmly believe in my right to film anything visible in a public space.
Before passing judgment, I encourage everyone to seek education and understanding about the legal and ethical aspects of public filming. It's crucial to uphold the principles of respect and consideration for one another in public spaces.

You can film the surroundings, people around you, but you cannot direct your camera on someone and keep shooting him/her especially if he/she doesn’t want it and tells you about it clearly. So you were not right in that very situation, that’s why you got what you wanted. Next time be polite and respect other people’s privacy in public places too!

I used to live at 859 Broadway on Union Square in the 1970s. Andy Warhol lived on the next street. I got a glimpse of the loft building. I lived on the 2nd floor. The landlord said hed sell me the building for $115k. Union Square was filthy and there was no residential only illegal loft dwellers like myself. The Macdonalds was the 1st new store that i remember. Such fun to see it and all those handsome New Yorkers out for the springtime. I haven't been back to nyc in 40 years. I feel such love for her!!!
