  • This is how I spent my day solo traveling to Milan. I visited in November 2021 when I was living abroad in Seville. I got a 26 euro round trip flight and spent a day in Milan and the next day in Lake Como. This trip cost me a total of 391 euros including flights and accommodation so super affordable weekend getaway!

These are the spots I visited in Milan:
    -DUOMO di MILANO
This is the largest church in Italy and the symbol of Milan. You can go inside the church and explore the underground ruins as well as go to the roof. You have to pay to access both but can also just visit one or the other. Tickets are linked below.
Open daily 8 am - 7 pm (last admission 6:10 pm)

LEONARDO DA VINCI'S LAST SUPPER PAINTING:
You can't go to Milan without visiting this iconic painting. Tickets should be purchased well in advance for this since they do sell out and only allow a limited amount of people inside per day. The painting is located inside
Free admission on the first Sunday of the month. These tickets become available the week before on Wednesday at noon (must be reserved online).
Last admission is at 6:45 pm. Closed Mondays.

    -GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELLE II
Located right next to the Duomo is this iconic shopping landmark. Tons of designer stores and restaurants here. Also where the Aperol Spritz terrace is.
    -CASTELLO SFORZESCO
    -VIA DE LA SPIGA
    Avenue with luxury shopping.
-RISTORANTE GALLERIA (inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele)
This is where I had the risotto a la Milanese and it was delicious!
    -TOP UNDICI
This is where I had aperitif hour.
