  • Possible the best urban Scrambler on the market. Smaller and lighter but still liquid cooled with plenty of power. I like it. Wahoo!

    Honestly one of the best reviews on this one, just what I needed to hear “one bike to do it all”. Thanks for the video!

      It's a great machine. Was just chatting with a long time owner of one who also owns a Tiger 900 and a Himalayan. He loves the looks and manners of this machine, has modded it out extensively. Hope we can get a video of it soon. Thanks. Wahoo!

    I test rode one in 2020 and just had to have one. Unfortunately it got stolen and written off last year by some scumbag. I liked it so much I bought another one without hesitation. I've been riding over 40 years and have to say this is one of the most enjoyable bikes I've ever ridden and I've had a few. I also own a 200+bhp superbike but it's hardly turned a wheel since I bought the Scrambler! What a great ride👍.

      I was truly amazed by this motorcycle. It's what fun motorcycling is all about. Love the way it handled, the clean & predictable power and, of course, that great look. An amazing motorcycle. Wahoo!

    I bought one last month… put 1000 kms on it in a month. One of my other bikes, a Ducati 848 evo, gets about 1000 kms a year!!! Totally agree… if you only have one bike, this is the one

    Been bouncing around videos on this bike and I think it might be the one I bite. Always liked that old cafe racer style to the bonneville and this one looks like it meets that with a bit of a modern spin.
    I’ve never owned or ridden a motorcycle, I’ll be a late rider at 34. Wonder if it’s okay as a starter bike.

    Hi, great description. I'm always curious about size comments because, spec wise the 900s are longer that the 120s or 1200s. The 1200s do weight more obviously, larger engine, 1 more gear, twin front rotors. The chassis is the same though. Maybe the tank is slightly bigger, to allow for engine difference and mileage. I have a t100. Same basic everything cept exhaust configuration. Never ridden a 1200 in Triumph so can't speak to size feel. Just what I have heard and read. Mind, I have 0 criticism of any reviewer. Just curious. My only 1200 experience was a Yamaha VMAX I owned for 8 years. Totally different styling. Was bigger and faster than the triumph 1200s, but size wise, unsure? Didn't feel that big.
    Anyway, you did give great justice to the scrambler. I've never been a fan of the pipe location on Enduros, because of the heat on your leg. But you made it seem very minimal. The suspension and ground clearance of the triumph as an off roader, leave a little bit to be desired, compared to some I've seen. And the tires look like they could be more dirt oriented, more nob like. But then maybe street riding wouldn't be as comfortable and sure footed.
    As for having to have more than one bike, haha. I've had as many as 3 at once. All street. And I noticed I'd ride one all the time anyway. So if I ever had say 2. I'd have one street and one adventure bike with more off road abilities. But street legal. 4 inches of travel for an off roader isn't enough. That's street bike suspension specs.
    Thanks though. Great review.

      I've got a T100 too. Love that bike. You're right, the 900 Scrambler is more of a street bike that dreams about the dirt occasionally. Suspension, tires and weight are all street. Having said that, the 900 scrambler is one of the few bikes I'd look towards if I were to replace my T100. I've rode most of the Triumph 1200's and love them all..if power is the game 1200 is the way. My holistic riding style puts me on the T100. PS I love the Vmax. Wahoo!

    So Street Scrambler or Tiger Sport 660?
    I'm 6'4", 275lb and looking for my first bike at 40 years old. The Scrambler 1200 xc might be a better fit for my build but I think that may be too much bike for a new rider.

    • @forgottenmotorcycles
      @forgottenmotorcycles  2 роки тому

      Both the Street Scrambler and the Tiger 660 are great bikes with very good manners and plenty of power. If you need good wind protection and like the modern look I'd go for the Tiger. However, If the classic style, sounds and feel are what you're after the Street Scrambler is the winner...just won't have that excellent weather protection the Tiger provides. PS I love that Scrambler XC too! Let me know what you get. Wahoo!

    • @kjltube
      @kjltube 2 роки тому +1

      I own this bike and at 5' 9' its perfect, and I love it. I sat on the 1200XC and it felt too big for me. Being 6" 4' AND a new rider is a tricky combination, and although the 900cc engine is probably all you need for a 1st bike, you too might find the 1200 a bit intimidating in size (though not in leg room). What about a Tiger 900 instead?

    • @forgottenmotorcycles
      @forgottenmotorcycles  2 роки тому +1

      So, I've looked at their website and other places and can't find any info on this...I take that as meaning these tires have tubes. Should be at the dealer in a few day and will look there too. If they are tubules I'll update this reply. Good question, thanks!

    I wish that Triumph would get rid of that ugly pinch seemed fuel tank, the original bonneville's were rolled at the bottom. That one little thing just cheapens the entire Bonneville lineup.
