Got my first bike this year and surprisingly my frist seasonal depression lol
Yesterday I was thinking about my vented jacket and my extreme vented jacket. In 20° weather I'd be an ice cube in 3 minutes .🥶🥶🥶
How much HP? Always assumed they are slow. Is it? Should have been a 500cc imo
Sub zero temps and snow in Scotland, I should have been born in Arizona or Australia or anywhere hot lol! Weather permitting I'm heading down to Newark in England for the Classic Winter Warmer Bike Show this weekend, a 600 mile round trip, by car unfortunately! Wahoo!
Same problem here in Colorado. Cold and snowy. Have a good day!
1960 - 1970s Honda Cycles - no salivation at my lip.
Damn bro that's cold 😜
The best real world review I've watched. Thank you. I've just bought one in the same colour
These Japanese motorcycles were the first low-cost high-quality Scramblers but you had scrambling motorcycles going way back before this especially when you start looking at the Italians and the Spanish and even Czechoslovakia they were making Scrambler bikes way before these Hondas were coming out but these were the lowest cost and the best for the money and now they're highly sought-after collectible bikes
I love the sound of a Shovelhead.
Still got that V7 750 Fuzzy?
I had one. Great sound, fun for awhile but i soon outgrew the 4speed trans. I was always looking for another gear.
Spoke rims. All day long.
Would like to see that too. Wahoo!
Beautiful classic Harley style! Love it!
This one works for me too!
I had a 78 Super glide. The transmission blew up just outside of Council Bluffs one year on my way to Sturgis. Fun times! The owner of Bluff Cycle took me in, let me stay at his place. We found a used tranny and I changed it in his shop in an hour. He offered me a job as a wrench, but I had commitments back home.
Now that's a good story. Wahoo!
... nice old iron ... wouldn't ride it anywhere outside cell phone coverage ... 😎
And not to dang far with cell phone coverage. Wahoo!
I never owned a Harley but they sure look super. Today I'll be riding a snow shovel. Lol. Not the shovel head that I'd prefer to ride. If it has 2 wheels I get excited. The addiction continues.!! Wahoo
I've rode that show shovel too many times. Wahoo!
I LOVE IT ! ! ! My personal pick of the three bikes that you just bought. I love the rims, looks period correct for when a bike like that was likely customized. I can’t wait to watch you kick it over and ride it ! Live Free ! Ride Free ! WAHOOO!!!
It's an interesting machine. Can't wait to ride it!
that configuration is called "early Shovel" distributor hold's the points , later Lowrider dash -W- gen light & tripmeter - 1 cam 4 lobes , ti looks like both Terry & Gail know precisely what they're doing its not amateur building it's an Old skool hand built sled and I think it belongs in your loving hands ............. God Speed Terry
and quit having so much fun your makin us look bad
LOL!
Sounds absolutely awesome. But totally impractical. Unless you’re moving. Your legs are going to burn off. Need to be much lower.
Warm but fun. Wahoo!
The wheels aren't my thing but I appreciate him trying out different ideas on this bike.
The wheels are interesting. Wahoo!
Hey Keith , sorry to hear about your buddy, Nice that you got to spend what sounds like a good time before he passed , love the destination videos ! Take care , I hope to go on a 350 ride or 2 or 3….with you ! Wahoo
Thank you. Can't wait for riding season to start again. Wahoo!
My first motorcycle, purchased new upon my return from Vietnam, was a 1968 750 cc Norton Atlas. I didn`t have my motorcycle indorsement and had never even driven a motorcycle but I did have years of road racing bicycles. It`s candy apple red tank, kickstart engine,, massive chrome fenders, drum brakes and reversed from currently used left rear brake pedal and right side shifting lever gave it character. I helped the mechanic uncrate and assemble the monster. We gassed it up, tickled the armel carbs, and it started on the first kick. My first ride was to DMV for my road test and the following day I left for a 400+ mile ride to Fort Bragg. It shook the fillings out of my teeth. By the time I arrived the tachometer and speedometer quit, the ammeter in the headlight shell quit, the right exhaust system shook itself off onto the highway and the primary chain partially disintegrated and ate the stator. The local dealer would not warrantee the broken parts and I had to deal with the US distributer in New York City to have all the parts shipped to Ft Bragg for me to fix it myself. Regrettably I had to sell it several years later while raising funds to buy a house. I have not seen one except in a museum in the last 25 years. In spite of it`s shaking and oil leaks, I loved that bike.
Now that is an interesting story. Hot dang!
Toutes mes condoléances pour ton pote 😞..... j'espère que sa moto trouvera acquéreur et qu'il en prendra soin . Longue vie aux bikers ✌️
Gracias!
Watching from Ahmedabad City in India... Sorry for your loss 🙏
Thank you!
Oh, how I lusted after that bike back in the day.
She's a beauty!
I had a 305 sclamber in '68 , it was the only one in my town. Ensenada, México.
Hot dang!
AEW 2into1 exhaust?
I think so.
No it was not the original scrambler those are some brit bikes. But the 305 scrambler was definitely a bike that caused an explosion in bike awareness and spurred a jump in motorcycle riders.
Good old Honda. Wahoo!
Sad but Beautiful at same time seeing friend for dinner for last time having a great time & reminiscing. Also he knows his bike is going to a good home.
Mate has a 2008 Sportster 1200 67hp 107Nm & is first fuel injected model & wet weight is 267kg only 3kg heavier than 883 so I guess a Evo be similar weight & size of tank etc. Some Sportster only have 8-10L tank most have about 13-15L which affect weight as well. Just looked 1997 1200 58hp 89Nm & some said 50hp 89Nm the 50hp might be at the wheels sounds about right 58hp at Crank & 50hp to the wheels torque doesn't change much might loose 3-4Nm to wheels so 84Nm at wheels.I found wet weight figures it said 551Lbs 250kg but no fuel so about 260kg roughly.
It was a good visit. Wahoo!
Thanks for this info. Wahoo!
Condolences on the loss of your friend - how poignant that you have his bike's now - the Sportster is beautiful, I have two 1200's from '96 and '02 . . I love them . . I look forward to a riding video on that one .
Thank you. Really looking forward to riding this one. Wahoo!
Sad....to lose a Buddy....
Life is short. We must live it while we can. Wahoo!
Fuzzy, So sorry for your loss !!! My heart tells me that your friend stuck around long enough to make sure that the bike was DEFINITELY going to a good home ! Here's to thousands of happy miles for you in the future !
Ol Terry was a good fellow. Thank you!
Life is short. Sorry to hear about your buddy. The bike continues it's story with you, passed on from Terry. Enjoy!
Thank you. We'll have some fun on this one. Wahoo!
All my bikes are grocery getters. My car comes out only if it's raining ( in the summer). Getting caught up on car maintenance now. Sorry to hear about your friend. You were lucky to see him b4 his end. Most of us are suffering from the old age facter. Life is short. Ride em like you stoled them. Lol. Wahoo.!! 👍👍
Thank you. Yes, ride while you can. Wahoo!
I ❤Tec
👍 nice
What kind of valve adjusters are on it?
Shim under bucket
The 305 was my first bike and I would love to have one again. Mine was called a 305 Super Hawk which was the Scrambler version.
Those were great bikes.
Wahoo ❤
Double Wahoo!
Sorry for the loss of your friend. I've got a soft spot for Sportsters and your new acquisition is stunning!
Thank you!
The scrambler was geared a bit lower than the superhawk but ohhhh so much cooler looking; wheelstands! I had mine up to 90 by the speedo which was probly optimistic. They were 4 speeds and had a 'spark arrester' for exhaust tip.. which.. everyone threw away first thing. the pipes were kinda loud that way. The superhawk was a bit more civilized but...
That sounds like a lot of fun!
LOL... I had one in 68 I thought it was a huge powerful bike at the time... I was and am 6' tall .. so recently a friend of mine told me his brother was gonna bring him his old 305 scrambler on a trip from Minn. to Comiefornia. I couldn't wait to see it. Imagine my surprise at seeing how tiny the bike was lol.
Too funny!
Where did you shoot that video? Beautiful space to keep some motorcycles.
the good old Fuzzy Biker Garage. Wahoo!
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. You'll relive memories with him every time you're near the Sportster. He did a very tasteful job of modifying the bike!
Thank you. He really did a great job on this bike.
She is a beauty. Wahoo!
Harley Davidson's do NOT leak oil - It's environmentally friendly Recycling fossil fuel's .........Or that's my story and I'm sticking to it
I think you’re right!
5 1/2 front travel,1 3/4 to 2 inch rear travel.h.p. 56-61 torque 61-66
Interesting. Thanks!
Sorry for your loss of Friend Terry but being able to say goodby is priceless - Rear wheel is a " Custom Wheel " front Custom Wheel was a 21 inch Spoke wheel and the Mag is a good thing the 21 will start washing out in hard cornering the 19 mag grips better , If you want to trade wheels I'd swap , I think you will love the bike it's about the same as Bear but they never break , sure love mine , Keep living the dream your nailing it
Appreciate the condolences and the encouragement, Wahoo!
it was a copy-cat of the BSA, But turned out Better than BSA.
Interesting!
Sorry for your loss of your friend. Great looking sportster! I'm sure you will enjoy it. The only sportster I've had was a 1984 XR1000. Snowing here in Fort Collins. Have a great day.
Thank you. The XR1000 was a great bike.
Awesome ! I ride my Dad’s 1996 Heritage Softail Classic and my wife rides a 2021 Iron 883N . I love my Royal Enfield Interceptor but am glad to see you featuring some HD . I hope you’ll actually show us some miles with that sporty. The Swingarm Shovel you bought is my pick of the three. I agree with your comparison of HD and RE, maybe RE will acquire HD in time ? Don’t you also own an Ironhead sportster? RIP - Terry - Love HD - WAHOOO!
Love the Heritage Softail Classic…I have a RE Super Meteor 650…rides excellent
Very nice rides!
Sorry to hear about your friend. Im glad you will always have something so beautiful to remember him by.
Thank you.
