it wound up needing 5 cells and the owner said its not worth putting that much money into it, so i saved it for parts. They had overheated while running a grinder
@@Paul-IE-Repairs fair enough. My battery level lights still flashes, but my battery now charges and tools work with it. One of two of my C+ terminals doesn't have voltage which is strange compared to my other 36/18. Your video has been very helpful..
i ordered a new BMS, it took a month to get here and wound up being the wrong one. Good old China and their cross references. So now my main hold up is time for these side projects, away from work. I need to remove and soak these in coating remover to go through the boards
@@Paul-IE-Repairsdid you removed coating and found somthing. I have fount 2 extra fuses one on top and one under , thay have 3 pins and dont look like standard one
@@Paul-IE-Repairs Sorry to hear that. I have the same battery with same fault, guess there is noting to do about it, Pity since the cells are all okay.
Hey I started working on my battery and I think that instead of using the metal tabs like to charge a few batteries at a time go ahead and just charge it on the battery pack that one individual battery because it worked for mine doing it that way it did not charge the other batteries next to it. It actually charges that one battery. I revived my battery this way and regained the led lights to full
@@Paul-IE-Repairs yeah been keeping a close eye on them but hadn't seen any voltage change on the other batteries. I'm assuming as long as I keep it slightly under etc. All the batteries are showing the same voltage as I stated except the two batteries I tried this way
what was the outcome after this repair?. i watched your video and in the process of replacing one cell. in my hikoki battery

I never found one, ebay, had a listing, took 5 weeks to get it and it was the wrong one

You can do that, but the risk you run is overcharging the batteries, next to it.

My question is to why wouldn't it charge the other batteries is there something I'm missing?
