Does anybody else have a Tabitha Farrar voice in their head when they're eating snacks? I can just hear 'Just eat the f**cking food!' I just wanted to say that I fell into quasi without realising, I think a part of me was nervous in the evenings and I realised I still needed an extra snack. A few weeks of eating and truly honouring my mental hunger and my mental clarity is so much better. No guilt for time off exercise and no urge and I feel like I love my body that I couldn't stand a few weeks ago even. I'd definitely advise going out and getting clothes that you like not just baggy stuff or trying to squeeze into old stuff. It's made loads of difference. Thanks Tabitha :) x

“Your body is the only thing that you actually have.” Damn- how’s that for some perspective? As always, so on point. Thank you so much, Tabitha. x

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thank you Tabitha! ❤️ It is good that you remind that it is ok to gain weight fast.👍🏻 My treatment had told me for over an decade that weight gain has to be slow so "head keep up with the body". It never does. Brain is always behind the body, no matter how slow one gain weight. One must pay the energy dept first.

A MASSIVE stumbling block for me is en ED specialist telling me I had to start off small and be kept away from eating too much as my stomach would be so small that I’d risk bursting it if I over ate. This was said to me 20+ years ago and I KNOW my digestive system is really messed up because of this fear causing me to hold onto that message from the specialist. Finding you has been life saving but please can you/somebody give my brain something to argue back with against the belief the specialist out there 🙏

Brilliant video. Thank you. I found the last little bit particularly helpful as it’s also where I’m stuck at the moment, so once again thank you for your wonderful insights. 😊🦋

Tabitha your info is fabulous and so so helpful for those of use with anorexia! Thank you for saying it like it really is.
I was wondering if you have a video that is a basic summary of your approach to recovery because it's so unlike standard treatment that still puts us on an 'eating plan' and gives us a 'goal weight' etc etc and so often doesn't truly approach the rewiring side of it.
If you don't have a video like this, I was wondering if you would be willing to do one for us?
I think it would be so so soooooo handy for us to have this (maybe up to 20ish mins!) so that we can share it with those who help and support us on this journey as they are often also told by treatment centres to not let us binge, etc etc.
Perhaps addressing issues like the rewiring, the excessive hunger, the overshoot etc etc etc - all the things that non-sufferers don't really understand!
    Your Thought?
    Ta so much!

How about buying her books? 'love fat' and 'rehabilitate, rewire, recover' it's all in there and really helpful!!!!

@@veganseatyummyfoodtoo awww bless you. Yes I know.... Although I am sure she will want people to buy the books, as often says she doesn't want to regurgitate her whole book on a video!! Lolll. She makes me laugh. Glad you have the books though and I agree that a video covering those topics would be great.... Tabitha if you're reading this, whatd'ya think?!!! Hehe. Take care my lovely and stay strong xx

@@veganseatyummyfoodtoo lollll. How could she not after that plea?!! Awww I really hope she does as I agree that caregivers need to be informed too and as you say wouldn't want to read a full book!! I wonder if you look at her podcasts there is one? They tend to be longer and give more information?! Worth a look??
Wish you well on your recovery journey, thank goodness we have a good mentor in Tabitha!!!! So glad I found her channel, take care of yourself and let's hope we see a video soon!! Tabitha??!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Planifing your meals for the Day is mental hunger or just control?

I’m also struggling really bad with not feeling sick enough. I’ve gained a bit since my lowest weight, still quite underweight, but it makes me feel so bad because there’s so many anorexics who are thinner than me. My behaviours are very bad and are getting worse as my mum increased my meal plan.

Dear Alexander, your weight has NOTHING to do with the seriousness of your illness. Do not allow your ED to tempt you to step into this stereotype because it's 100% wrong. This is your sneeky ED throwing everything at you to convince you nót to attempt recovery (i.e. eat, gain weight, rewire,...), DON'T listen to it, don't believe anything it says.
ED is about behaviours and mental state. Are you happy, Alexander? If you have an ED, my guess is you're pretty miserable (I know I am) so what does it matter if someone else is skinnier??? It's YOUR life, Alexander, and you are worthy of recovery, freedom and help to get there.
You have an eating disorder. That's all you need to know.
You have an eating disorder, so yes, you are "sick enough" because nobody deserves an ED, you deserve better.
Look at it this way: just because yoir fever is only 39°C and someone else's is 40°C, you won't go "oh heck, their fever is higher, so I'm not yet sick enough, so I won't take my meds and hope my fever will rise to 40°C as well and thén I'll be sick enough to go see a doctor or whatever"???
Fight, Alexander. And listen to Tabitha's videos on this topic as well. You've got this!

i was never underweight according to society‘s standards but i still deserved recovery and it was the best thing i‘ve done. you deserve the best and the best is doing recovery properly!! sending strength💜

    • @saarki8421

I am no longer 'visibly underweight', but I am (as Tabitha would say) still very much f* up in my head and very unhappy ... would you tell me I'm not sick enough and that I should first loose weight again before I'm worthy of or need recovery? No, you wouldn't. So don't allow your ED brain to convince you otherwise when it's about a much more important individual: yourself.

I wish someone just could take away the PAIN. I have a really hard time right now and have had for years really. I feel more and more that I just wanna die. Every night when im in bed I prey that i would die in my sleep. I dont have any friends. The only family i got is my mum but she doesnt love me and we dont have contact. I feel so alone with all the anxiety and pain inside! Ive tried to fight for years but I cant take it more.
