Some people love instruments to sound technical. But for us, too much technicality is just unnecessary fill-ins and ruins the groove. So I'm with you, simplicity is beauty
Just a pro on that one, you have more sound possibilities, for example: you can set them up with different sounds/tones for each drum and you could cover virtually any song. The downside is the fact that they do not feel the same as playing on an acoustic set. I remember playing on an electric drum set and I felt that if I hit them too hard I was gonna break them lol
My only complaint is in the intro ride melody. you're missing the last note, i hear you play 5, but you're visibly only playing 4 on the ride. missing the double hit on the bell that turns it from 4/4 to 5/4. 1,2,3,4 (4/4) 1,2,3,4-5 (5/4) 4 and 5 are played at double speed to equate to 4/4 and still fit the time signature, but without that double stroke on the bell, its stale. Trust me, this is my warm up on the drums
you can tell this guy is good with his band because he isn't too showy but he's good enough to not be shy

Nice, sensible cover that isn't too showy; it's easy for me to follow (I'm trying to learn this song on the drums!)
