The way Lloyd screams Kea's name would make any father's heart break.
it's not a Trails game if I'm not fighting the final boss at 3 am fueled by pure adrenaline and coffee
US
Lmao that was literally me last night fighting this boss on hard. Was up until nearly 5:00 a.m...
10/10 can relate often it happens to me at a sunday when i need to go work on monday
this , especially since it feels weird to complete a dungeon in multiple play sessions but the last dungeon is the length of like 5 dungeons :D
me playing the end of chapter 4 having regrets at 5am
The lyrics seem to be an English translation of Gustav Mahler's 8th Symphony
"Come, creative Spirit...
Visit the minds of Your followers.
Fill with celestial grace
Those hearts which you've created.
Strength'ning with staunch vigor
The weaknesses of our body,
Kindle a light in our senses,
Infuse love in our hearts.
Infuse love in our hearts.
Drive away the enemy far from us
And give us everlasting peace
Thus with You as leader going before,
Let us avoid every disaster"
Thank you for the lyrics!
I didn’t even realize they were speaking English. Thanks for sharing
(Spoilers)
Yo, those lyrics hit really close to what happens in Zero/Azure, if you think about what the antagonists were trying to bring forth and the person at the center of it all.
Makes me so happy to see this song fast approaching 1m views, highly deserved!
because of azure release on pc
This song is just so damn good

Revisiting this OST after playing Trails Into Reverie.
I marked out hard when I discovered that this was the real final boss theme. Falcom are goated.
@@ForceofNature99 So awesome that it doesn't even need a new arrangement.
10/10 send off for Trails into Reverie and the Crossbell arc to hear this theme one last time
Gonna miss this series after completing a full run from Sky FC for over a year...
This theme made Ao no Kiseki a true legend among games the peak of Kiseki series
This theme embodies the feeling of "The worst case scenario is happening, but we're ready for it."
This was the song that introduced me to Trails probably 8 or more years ago. As of last night, I have finally fought this boss. Amazing finale to an amazing game!
Easily one of my favorite pieces of music ever. Absolutely love everything about this track, truly incredible
this boss took me way longer than it should have, cuz i had to take constant air-guitaring breaks
I heard this track for the first time in 2013 and finally 7 years later i fought this battle. Amazing...
Kudos to the awesome people who translated crossbell arc. Love you.
This is my favorite ost in every Trails game out there, because it represents what's happening at this point so well. Combining Opera and Metal together is such a weird combination but goddamn it represents what it needs to, together they make this weird emotion of hope and strength but at the same time fear and despair, because the gang knows full well that doing what they're doing will pretty much drag their beloved country into war, but nonetheless choosing to take control of their destiny instead of just letting fate take its course.
What I like about this song is how it represents the struggle in the final battle; the guitars are Lloyd and his team, and the choir is the Azure Demiurgos. Both are fighting for supremacy in trying to overtake the other. Near the middle, it sounds like the choir has won, but the guitars get a second wind and the struggle begins anew, and we think the choir will pitch in again near the end, but instead we get a single female voice doing a solo; that voice obviously being KeA, singing in lament for her actions, before the guitars jump back in aggressively, as if trying to reach out to the crying child. The choir begins again, drowning out the single voice and the struggle seemingly repeats until a single guitar solo (Lloyd) makes the final blow, and the choir says their final words, ending the struggle.
You need to listen to Powermetal.
They combine Opera and Metal on a regular basis.
After playing Azure,
You realize the title for the first game makes a whole lot of sense . . .
So much THIS
@Tráng Đinh Công When I said first game, I was referring to the first of the Crossbell duology
@Tráng Đinh Công It's translated into Trails of Zero, and after playing Trails of Azure, the "Zero" makes sense cause everything comes back full circle . . . .
Another fun fact about titles: Kiseki isn't just the word for "trail/path," but also "miracle." So after playing Trails in the Sky 2, it should become apparent how literal the title "Miracle in the Sky" really is.
@@WimpyMcWeaksauce Then you have to wonder what Miracle Cold Steel is going to bring then . . . .
(for the US anyway)
Just finished Trails to Azure with the excellent Geofront fan translation patch.

Wish I could figure out what actually triggers its Vanish counter though. Seemed almost random at times.
How do you even come up with something like this?! RPG music of this quality shouldn't even be possible! I thought I knew what final boss themes were... until I heard the Azure Arbitrator! This is my new favorite final boss theme of all time
Hahah very true, it's such an incredible song :DD
I was listening to the last boss music of Octopath traveler 2 (Those Who Deny the Dawn) thinking "Fuck. This is the best music I've ever heard.". Some dude in the comments mentioned this so I came to listen to it. I think you should give it a listen to. If you aren't much sold on the voice work, at least stick around for the guitar solo. 😂
To compare the 2. This song is just all around awesome in a vacuum. That song has some OOMPH and is clearly trying to sell the feeling of overcoming a difficult obstacle. Curious as to if it only works so well because of all the music throughout the game leading up to that climactic battle.
Man hearing this at 4am was a blast, good thing I did not stopped and continued until I finish it
Rest in peace, Daniel Scott Tijernia. Thank you for helping us get past the biggest barrier of them all.

@Tráng Đinh Công The story continues in CS III
Just finished it as well. God damn that ending fucked me up in more ways than one. What a fucking game
Just finished Trails to Azure, I'm way too far down the rabbit hole for barriers to stop me now
This is the most awesome boss fight music I ever heard.
I beat this game for the first time a couple weeks ago, and man, what an experience. I was really struggling to get through the end of the game because of burnout and gradually decreasing patience with myself, and this fight took me three tries, but the final attempt was so satisfying to finally get through. It was two hours of me on the edge of my seat the entire time, haha. And I still love this song so much. I definitely plan on playing it again someday.
It's finally hit a million views! As this masterpiece should have long ago!
It's not that good bro

The most epic final boss theme I've heard alongside Hajimari no Kiseki's Perfect Steel Of Zero.
The energy in this one is next level
Perfect Steel of Zero just perfectly sums up Sky, Crosbell duology, and CS games in one title.

The guitars and drums fade out after their hyper-intense streak, their place taken by a female opera solo which I can only interpret as KeA's solemn lament about her role in the story, her past actions and what she's become.

Come, creative spirit...
Creative spirit...

Fill with celestial grace,
Those hearts, which you created...
[These lyrics are adapted from an English translation of the Latin Gregorian chant "Veni, creator spiritus", specifically the version from the Symphony No. 8 by Gustav Mahler]
{SPOILER TERRITORY}
I think to those who have beaten the game, the meaning of these lyrics as they relate to the story is obvious. I love how despite basically copy pasting the lyrics from an already established piece, the context in which it is played gives it an entirely new meaning.
In this case, the "creative" spirit refers to the Sept-Terrion of Mirage Demiourgos, who while not the creator of humanity in Zemuria is a creator in the sense that all things come to be because of causality, which she controlled. KeA, being a alchemical reincarnation of Demiourgos is the creative spirit being beckoned by the Crois family. To fill the hearts of Demiourgos' creations, the humans who are the way they are because of her causality, is to guide them - which is exactly what the Azure-Zero plan was meant to accomplish.
To strengthen the weakness of the body with lasting vigor is to make the limitations of the human body obsolete, as with Gnosis. But on a grander scale, it means to remove the shackles that prevent humanity from reaching its full potential. To kindle a light in the senses is to set humanity straight and to prevent them from straying from their path, and to infuse love into their hearts is to rid them of counterproductive malice and replace it with benevolence that leads to peace.
However, for all this talk of peace there is still the mention of an "enemy" that needs to be driven out to create said peace. Perhaps it is a peace that is only exclusive to a certain group.
And of course, the leader that will ensure humanity avoids every disaster is KeA herself.

To me this is the best final boss theme in any JRPG (maybe tied with Serpent Eating The Horizon from Bravely Default)
Serpent Eating The Horizon is just so good cause it manage to be an absolute banger on top of compacting a ton of leitmotif from the entire game in one song, Azure Arbitrator just lack in that second department. This one would be third tied with Nier Replicant's Remaster version of Shadowlord.
To me it's slightly higher than Brahman from Digital Devil Saga 2. Simply the peak of final boss themes. People like to suck Dancing Mad off, but it's simply dwarfed by the sheer awesomeness of Azure Arbitrator and Brahman.

@@kurosan0079 if you like that, do yourself a favor and start listening to nightwish and xandria. you won't be dissapointed :)
i could recommend many of them but start with some songs from tarja turunen and manuela kraller if you like operatic voice. the other singers are great as well but in a bit different style
Greatest fucking final boss theme in any JRPG ever and its not even debatable.
Zanza the divine is also pretty good
It's pretty debatable, really the JRPG gives us so much banger for Final Boss theme I can't even count, my favorite is a track called Serpent Eating the Ground.
@@nesoukkefka1741 For sure man, to me, The Merciless Savior from Sky SC is still my absolute favorite, I just love how much that song conveys to the player, the very first notes made me shit my pants because I knew exactly what they meant in the context of the game. Truly marvelous, that's one of many reasons I love JRPGs!!
@@nesoukkefka1741 There's also The Ones Who Gather Stars in the Night for Bravely Default 2 where the female opera singer goes literal batshit insane
Just beat The Reverie Corridor un Hajimari.. holy fucking shit.
Welp that's funny how in two episodes, that saga gave me two of my favorite final boss theme ever ! Ngl, that part at 3:00 make me rock hard
I played this whole series from sky to kuro no kiseki, just in 3 months, i caved in i spent my every free time to the games, now i feel massive emptiness inside me :/
Should I wait for official translations for Kuro, or just play these games with fan translation? I'm on my way to start Cold Steel games, waiting for translation can be a huge pain :(
@@Awczarekdepends on what you want, i mean even if you finish kuro1/2 now you'll still had to wait since we haven't got any news regarding kuro 3 release date, so in the end you're just going to wait for kuro 3 instead of kuro 1 en release.
@@AwczarekIm not just waiting for official translation, im waiting for entire kuro/calvard arc to be over XD So i can just cave in again and play all of them back to back and yes it will be huge pain sadly
