Thank you guys for watching!!! YWAM KONA Program I did: ywamkona.org/courses/fire-and... My IG: Health/ Fitness/ Wellness: @breyennegetsfit Personal: @breyenne.elyse
I am a father in my 40s living in Korea. My dream is to be with the Ywam dts family! I don't know how to speak English, so it's a good world to get help from Google Translate
I'm not a fan of YWAM from what I've heard recently, but so far I think you're genuinely a good person, and I see that you genuinely care about the well-being of the rest of the world, and you're not just doing it because of your privilege of being a American Christian with all this luxury some of us have as Americans. You seem, I say that because I don't know you ofc, you seem to mean well with what you do with your decisions in your faith. With that being said, I enjoyed being informed about YWAM through you even though I'm not a Jesus FREAK, but I AM Christian.
I'm glad you found this video helpful! I know there are so many controversial views on YWAM but I genuinely loved it and I can only speak about my experiences!
Soo I'm going to YWAM Louisville, January 2023. While looking up videos about what to pack (especially on Outreach but also Lecture phase) I did come across those "YWAM is a cult" videos did surprise me, but still planning on going cause I feel a pull to go in a way (my sister told me about YWAM & it was exactly something that I felt in my heart that I should do after graduating high school *I'm 19 btw* I do not know what to do now & I felt *& still do feel* like I'm just wasting time). Anyway, I would love to ask you some questions, trying to fundraise now but I'm really discourage as the people I'm reaching out to partner with have soo much going on so they might give me their emails &/or mailing addresses for newsletters but not so much support & I don't have much time to get the tuition (& spending money). I might contact you on Insta...
YWAM definitely has cultish elements, it’s not what it seems and how it wants to present themselves. The problem is all these young people are way too naive and inexperienced to have proper discernment.
@@SG-qb9wo I politely disagree with that. I do not think the people there are too naive to have proper discernment. Most of the students are 19-29 and quite mature. I also think that every base is probably different and I loved the Kona base! I am not sure what cultish elements you are talking about but as someone who went and experienced it, every one has a choice to participate or not;)
I hope you are well! I was exactly in the same position as you before the DTS, decided to still go with a positive mindset. Unfortunately, it heavily backfired. Thought reform, spiritual abuse from leadership and a total disregard for emotional health and critical thinking made me leave after three months. So I really hope that you aren't experiencing any of the above - but if you, know that it is not right to do that to you.
I think the problem you both had us maybe it wasn’t God’s calling for your life… if it’s not God’s calling for you the he will close doors and try to get you on a new path. No hate. Just sharing my opinion..
Preach baby girl! I love your fire and passion!
Keep sharing! Keep going! Love you!
starting in the end of September at Kona, excited
Have SO much fun! Praying for you!
How was it??
You can tell me stories alllll the time...any time! No begging needed here baby girl!!!! I love your "channel" you're most definitely a show.
