- My Dog Tries Swimming For the First Time
We rented out a pool for Moki but there was 1 problem, she hated swimming. So we came up with a plan, we had her favourite ball, favourite treat, favourite person and her favourite dog to try and help us get her into that pool.

My dad’s reaction at the end was priceless 😭 he has good days and bad days, luckily we caught him on a good day!
And I listened to your dad and subscribed
It was beautiful to watch..
@@happyheidi747 wooo he speaks sense 🤣
love it❤🥹
It’s so Good to see a dobie not chopped up & has her natural ears & tail! They’re born that way & should stay that way! 😊❤
Definitely agree!
💯 looks better too. Who doesn’t love floppy ears to give scritches to and a waging tail ❤😊
Ears not necessary and even illegal in the UK. The tail is a different issue. They are prone to breakage and can be very very painful. No pain when done soon after birth.
@@hoidmeister5687 It involves cutting or crushing muscle, nerves, and bone without anaesthetic in puppies under 5 days old. Evidence indicates that it inflicts significant pain on puppies and deprives dogs of an important form of canine expression in future life.
Also, unlike many other breeds, Dobies carry their tail much higher and it's more like a banner above their back, so they far *less prone to breakage.
You will find so much false information on the internet by those who gain money from amputating tails. The other dishonest set of people who prescribe tail docking are trying to adhere to 'the breed standard" for showing as well as those with cognitive dissonance attempting to justify their own cruelty.
What an enjoyable video. Both Kobe and Moki are stars. You're a great doggo dad, very patient, encouraging, and positive. ❤ 😊 🇨🇦
Thank you 😄
Keep giving your dad sweet moments of joy. His smile and laughter are priceless, plus he’s a cutie for sure.
Thank you 💙
God bless your dad! He's so sweet ❤❤🙏
Thank you!
Kobe is a swimming instructor....woohoo.....
Literally! 😂
Blessings to your Dad. I just lost mine on May 6th. He looks as if he has a lot of vitality left in him! Keep up the fight Dad!!!
i'm sorry to hear, and thank you very much 💙
So sorry about your dobie. My Annabelle died two years ago and I miss her every day.
What a sweet young man making sure to brighten his dad's day. Precious, simply precious!
Thank you 🙏
This is the most wholesome video series on the internet. Lovely couple, beautiful funny dogs and your Dad. Thank you for sharing those special moments.
Wow, thank you so much!!
When I was a boy it took me a long time to learn how to swim because I was afraid of deep water. I have a lot of sympathy for Moki. Thank you for being so kind and patient. I know from personal experience this helps a lot.
Big hugs to you all ❤
Thank you!
My mother had the same as your dad, she loved it when i took my westie with me to visit. Sadly we lost her almost 2 years ago, dogs give pleasure without trying love your dogs ❤
Sorry to hear 💙
More videos with your dad. He is adorable 😁
How come I love Dobermans so much? Well yes, I have been a Dobie mommy my entire life 😍
They're so amazing!
Your dad loved it, Moki was too funny before getting in and while in the water 😂❤
Really put a smile on his face! 😂
What a wonderful video this is! Kobe showing the way and well done Moki! But your dad is sensational, what a lovely end to a great video :)
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed 😄
You are a very good son for taking such good care of your dad. I sure seeing Moki brings your dad great joy. Shalom
Thank you 🙏
Awww she's adorable. And what a great big brother.
He did so good!
@@thegoldenkobefamily A natural furry mentor.
You did a great job in easing Moki in and helping her to overcome her fears. It's obvious, she wants to be a part of the swimming game, she wants to anticipate. I guess, next time will be a little better and the time after that a little more and so on. 😊
Yessss she’ll definitely start getting used to it now
I love Dobies with floppy ears.
Great video.
Thank you 🤗
And an un-docked tail too🥰
The shark swimming vest is adorbs!
I know right! 😂
What a wonderful video. What lucky dogs you have. ❤❤
Thank you so much!
Love this! The doggies are both so cute❤
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed!
I think if you went back the 2nd time, the familiarity of the pool might make Moki go in.
Your Dad is a cool guy. I loved seeing his reactions. 👍
Thank you! We are tempted to go back and try again
This video made me so happy. 😊 Dad was right, Moki was just splashing. I couldn't think of the description. It was "splashing!" 😂❤❤
Hahaha literally 😂
your dad is adorable
and Kobe and Moki are as adorable I lost my mum to dementia in 2013 savour every moment you can get.the time cannot be replaced.
I’m sorry to hear 💙
Joyful video, it was interesting to watch Moki work up courage - needed a little help but did it finally! Cute dogs and your dad is adorable!
Thank you so much! 😄
What a good girl! I really enjoyed this.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄🙌
Awe…This video was too cute…❤
Glad you enjoyed!
So lovely, your loved it xx
Thanks so much 😊
Hides behind Mom...... I love it
💀😂
good girl, good girl, good girl, good girl
That’s right!!
@@thegoldenkobefamily correct, this video gave me the impression as well that the dog is, indeed, a good girl.
Respect, you guys are amazing! ❤
Thank you!!
Your dad is a doll.
Kobe's entrace is so cute.
So happy to be there 😂
Dad at the end made my eyes sweat so I followed his instructions. New subscriber. 😍
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video. The only thing I would do differently would be to just let her go once in the pool to swim on her own.
He steps slowly into the pool --- "Oh! It's so cold!" And then he expects the dog to want to jump in. That dog is smarter than he is.
Soon as she heard that she’s said nope I’m not doing it 😂
i taught my lab to like water by going in slowly, at a lake. i stayed by his side, it took awhile, but he wasn’t afraid after awhile. The dog I have now, border collie/GSP, ZERO water fear…as a very young puppy she wandered into the water. No swim lessons needed.
My border collie loved to kayak and ride motorcycle with me.
She's like if you wanted a water dog you should have bought a lab.
That was a great show! :-) Please give my regards to your dad and, of course, to Moki, too. (/from Germany)
Thank you!
The thumbnail made it look like she is a dachshund.
Then you clicked and thought damn that’s an oversized dachshund 😂
@thegoldenkobefamily Exactly right!!! 😁 Biggest dachshund ever !!!!
Too cute ❤❤❤
Thank you!! 😄
my dog didn't like this way. he wanted to get comfortable with the water while being able to stand in it. now he loves it. there should be a shallow end to dog pools where they can test it out.
Just Subscribed!
Wooo you’re the best!!
I would put legs on the ramp. A bit difficult when it sinks trying to stand in it or get out.
I used to have a Doberman who was a complete water baby. We lived in Kenya at the coast where the water was lovely and warm. It was impossible to keep her out of the sea. Watching this was so confusing for me! My dog was more like Kobe!
I hear some dobies love the water, some hate it. I thought Moki might love it because Kobe does, but it didn’t turn out that way 😂
@@thegoldenkobefamily We used to breed dobies. Out of the 7 pups, 3 loved the water and the other 4 wouldn't go near it!
I enjoy this video very much then.
I’m glad! 😄
Lots of love to your dad 😊 also, really cute, although thought dobies like water 🤔
Thank you! And apparently ours doesn’t 😂
To cold she says.
❤❤❤
💙
Poor fellow, Doberman's just aren't for water. On the other hand my Chocolate Lab loved swimming in the Gulf of Mexico to the point I thought a shark might get him and he was always 1st. in the Hot Tub.
All dogs can swim instinctively, none need to learn. This also applies to dogs who are afraid of water.
yeah, just yeet her in... seriously all this video to try and lure a dog in a pool and in the end they carry her in xD. Just go and walk somewhere with natural water puddles all around, 2/3rds of dogs will just walk in everywhere and if it happens to be to deep... they're swimming.
👀❤️😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Clearly Moki needed to poo before swimming!

The rottie would get into the pool but the dobie would run around barking his fool head off. Our other dobie wasn’t a fan either.
06:06 Is that an North american thing to scream and yell god girl and god boy in falsetto, in this moment just ignore or calm down. So stressing high energy.
Nice to see a Dobie with ears and a tail!
It sure is!
thats some serious augoura or is it auqua phobia - it kinda reminded me of John bones jones, afraid of water - then you have holy holms trot in there like it’s nuthing - but even to be near holly & act like the manly man hUs not afraid of water?? nOpe, still to dangerous risky✋🤔
Why aren't dad n mom IN
the pool???
Oh we go in!!
I love that you don’t see all the cropped ears and docked tails in the UK like you see in the US. Total mutilation.
They look so good with natural ears and tails!
My name is ella
Another Ella 😄
So odd to see a Doberman with a tail.
She would have done it on her own had you been more patient.
That's an aboveground pool? Taking a dog into it to possibly rip the liner is a REALLY stupid idea.
I take mine in all the time never ripped the liner
yall know dogs instinctually know how to swim.... right?
just drop the dog in the pool. it will be fine, and will have actually done what you were there to do. make the dog more comfortable in water. but instead, while the dog was in the middle, with a life jacket AND EQUIPPED WITH ALL SOFTWARE NEEDED FROM BIRTH...
you just let her splash....
what?
exactly my thought, wtf was this video xD
@@frensj idc if you take it slow... hell they are making "a cute puppy video" after all.
but as far as i can tell, the dog never actually learned that it could swim. lol
Why force her to swim?
“The lady helping us” has a name? 🤨
oh that's sad. She doesn't like the water. Why scare her?
Why make her do something she doesn’t want to do?
Im sorry. Just video the fog running in the park or sonewhere. Forceing him into the pool is cruel.
I thought this was cruel as she obviously doesn't like the water and yet you force her to go in. 'I had to carry her in because she was scared' says it all.Leave her to make up her own mind in her own time and she may enjoy the experience but this is not the way to do it.
Thank you! Agreed.
Lmao what
Cruelty? Did your parents never challenge you or coerce you into something that you had trepidation of? This was not fear of life and limb. This is an action of love intended to enrich the life of a family member. By your metric something as benign as putting a reluctant cat outside during rain would constitute abuse. You conflate trepidation, and apprehension with fear.
With all due respect, I completely understand your concern for the dogs feelings. I do also want to point out that as a child I had to be carried into the pool in order to get over my fear of water. It was very important that my mother and father were there, encouraging me and supporting me. As an adult now, I know that they needed to get me used to being around the pool and in the water for my own safety. As a child, I needed to understand how to swim and how to deal with water when I lived in an area with so many pools right next to the ocean. If I had gone on in my life being afraid of water It would’ve been dangerous for me. While it may seem cruel to you to carry the dog into the water, remember the dog was being carried by its trusting and loving father and did not show signs of extreme distress. She was just a little scared. Sometimes we need help getting over our fears. This was one of the most loving videos I’ve ever seen. It’s OK that you want to take the dogs feelings under consideration. But I want to point out that in this video I only saw a group of people completely focused on how the dog was feeling in this moment. They all used supportive, caring tones in their voice to show their love while helping her work through her fears. I also want to say that at no time did I see any animals being harmed in order to create this video. I only saw loving parents helping their animals work through their fears in a positive and supportive manner. I also want to say that your concern is valid and real. Your comment only shows that you care as much as we do. I’m not blasting you or putting you down. I’m saying that you’re right for saying something because you’re saying it out of love and that’s a good thing.
"She finally went into the pool." Except, she didn't.
