- -Sixty second fragment of a lost ABC Password from 1972 with Paul Lynde and Elizabeth Montgomery. This is all there is and there's nothing more to be found. The 1971-75 run of Password was sadly erased and only a handful of episodes are known to exist.

Great find!
This just proves that we just don't know what's floating around out there. I'd love to see the whole game. I bet it was a hoot with Paul Lynde.
Omg yes
The Password is "Wow! " Great to see this. Paul Lynde & my favorite, Elizabeth Montgomery. Allen mentions The Paul Lynde show which was going to start in the fall of 1972. Good plug. Unfortunately, the show lasted one season. As everyone mentions, sad to see this version gone ---I'm always hoping for some kind of a miracle to find them in an ABC vault somewhere or an affiliate station like WABC in New York.
VERY COOL!!!! Even a fragment from this version is priceless, especially with Paul Lynde:)
We need more Password from 1971-1975.
I hope someone can find the last of the old set from 1974:)
Or even a video copy from the Best of 3 Format.
I once told someone an episode or at least some footage from this week exists. And now ive got proof
Also notice in this brief clip that Elizabeth Montgomery has a very dark tan probably vacationing after the cancellation of "Bewitched" in 1972.
A shame that most of the Password episodes from the 1971-75 era are deleted, but a few are known to exist and have been posted on UA-cam.
Where'd you find it?
I Want All Of The Complete Episodes From The 1970s Hoping They Them On Buzzr TV
You can't air what doesn't exist.
@@epaddonI hope Buzzr could at least air the ABC Password episodes UCLA holds. I would love to see them.
I have the audio from the 9/22/72 episode with Carol Burnett and Florence Henderson, who wore the outfit she wore in the Brady Bunch Hawaii episodes.
Hope you can upload that someday! That should be easy to follow on audio with the announcer's "The Password is....." revelations.
Boy, would I love to hear that.
@TrickyMario7654 It's in my storage area, along with the audio from the next program that day, "Split Second". Where are you located?
@@jasonbeard4713 Sorry, I'm in Australia.
@@jasonbeard4713You could share it with us retro TV fans online. Those pieces sound nifty!
A few minutes of ABC’s Password (not to mention CBS’) is more entertaining than watching several seasons of Jimmy Fallon’s lame version.
July 17-21, 1972. If anyone should be blamed on why this version doesn't exist anymore, it's Goodson-Todman. By now, I know not to blame the networks for this. It's the same story with "Pyramid" and Bob Stewart. Stewart kept wiping it every two months after the episodes had aired once until 1978.
Yeah, a shame that practically the only aspect of the 1971-75 ABC "Password" that exists is that "Odd Couple" episode.
@@wmbrown6 There are a total of six ABC episodes that circulate in the hobby.
@epaddon there's more than that. Ucla has an episode from the premiere week along with about 6 episodes from 1973. There's at least 5 episodes from 1975 that exist on UA-cam and of course there's the December 7 1971 and February 14 1972 episodes
@@GarryGriffy Unfortunately, none of the UCLA episodes can be viewed. I wish there was a way to change that.
@@VahanNisanian that's true. Maybe some day. They've also got some episodes of jeopardy some early $10,000 pyramids and daytime Hollywood squares between 1968-1973
I want a full episode of Paul Lynde
