NOOOOOO because she already wore a lot of bestest best outfits in her other functions which we can't afford to have we only get shaadi day for us to buy something extra that's why we choose heavy lehengas 😊❤
Hand painted sarees and attire are very common in India, we Bengalis love to wear hand painted and embroidered stuffs. We prefer hand painted and embroideries to glitters and zardosi and such works.
I really want people to stop hyping them so much , These people are just straight up businessmen who do not know the value of money at all, aise paisa ura rahe hai, jaise des ka garibi to bas ek jhuta ilzam hai, Jio ka rate bhi itna badha diya is mehengai mein, aise log hai, Kabhi gareebo k madad bhi nehi karte, Humare tata ji ko dekho, That's a true Industrialist, cares about his employees and citizens ❤
Well, people who can't afford it, are not going for it. But artists themselves can easily afford the hand-painted lehenga with minimal cost, because they can paint them using their their creativity and thoughts, imaginations.❤
These days lot of bengali brides and grooms are wearing hand painted sarees and panjabis in any of their ritual of marriage.. They doesn't have high budget but those hand painted middle class dresses are also so much pretty...
I am not agreeing with you comment " tadakta bhadaktaaa .." because she also used gold to make it shine we as common middle class people cant afford something like this which is unique and such expensive soo...we just go for what is available in the market...other than that everything about this video is ok..
I love genuine hand painted kalamkari or madhubani etc.. not all like tadakta bhadakta. As a middle class Indian woman, wedding sarees are not meant for wearing only 1 day. I genuinely love wearing my wedding kanjeevarams eveb now (20yrs).. However, handpainted is very expensive.. a handpainted kalamkari on kanjeevaram or a vidharbha tussar costs between 25-35k. Too expensive.. even handpainted on madurai cotton costs 10k plus. So yes most of these statement sarees are made to cater to NRI crowd who can easily afford. As an Indian from India, who genuinely loves to wear sarees, I wish hand painted/embroidered were a little more affordable. The ultra rich can afford it coz, its one of the many outfits.. for us who buy 1-2, we need value for money and pieces that we can get maximum wear.

I am huge fan of hand painted sarees and handmade things😍 I have 3 hand painted sarees and 2 handwork chikenkari saree😍 my next will be handloom paithani saree..
Probably can’t afford it but I would to have painted sari or chanya choli. However, the lotus in the hair was a bit much. It doesn’t look good as the weight of it is pulling it upside down. Smaller flowers would have completed the look better.
One of my bridal trousseau had hand painted baraat pattachitra ideated by me andmade to order from a small village from Odisha... Always love handlooms over tadakta bhadakta
Ok so i guess the idea is, if u have only 1 outfit to wear for ur wedding you may not opt a hand-painted one. But if u have 75 outfits for ur wedding functions, you would want variety and hence u would opt one. 😊 But hey that saree is an ultimate art work. Much better than the abu jani sameeeeee stuff.
Handpainted by renowned Bengali artist Jayasri Burman who studied in Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University,Shantiniketan,Bolpur. Her style is inspired from traditional Patachitra with her own touch of course. For your information, Kala Bhavana hosts Nandan Mela which is done by students and professors there and it's a feast for the arts and crafts lovers. I'm an ex student of VBU and never missed any of Nandan Mela there, got to see so many renowned artists too . The art pieces were obviously pricey for me to afford at that time but got to make friends to learn things for them . Go visit someday, I hope you find the same joy as I do❤️💜❤️
Hand paint or hand made efforts are so rare and expensive these days, still I feel its worth because it makes the art unique! Even if the paint is simply a flower or landscape.
If we had money to afford such stunning piece of art that is this lehenga, of course we would like to wear it. On second thought I think I would be worried about ruining this intricate peace of work by wearing it.
I object on tadakta chamakta etc etc bcz India got maximum handblock and hand painted regional artisans . If they r there that means we r buying . Sarees dress material etc etc and admire the richness and like the organic clothing most in the whole world.
S my mom use to done alot of hand painting when I was small and that so many varieties .I use wear for special occasions at home that were hand painted
To be honest if i had AS many events, i would happily be open to expermenting with something different or unconventional even for at LEAST one of the events (And of course if i had the money)
