- I'm so excited to share this March 2021 Bullet Journal Plan With Me video with you! In this monthly setup, we're taking a trip to Paris and will set up a romantic bullet journal theme with lots of inspiration from beautiful old city views and warm cozy tones.
I decided to use my Copic Ciao markers for a few of the bigger drawings this month, just to switch it up and explore some different looks and techniques. If you don't own these markers, you can easily switch the technique with something you already have at home, like watercolors, brush pens, or colored pencils, so don't worry about it too much.
I think this March setup was my favorite one I've done in a while, so I really hope you guys will enjoy it too and get some new inspiration and ideas for your own bullet journals. As always, I tried to include drawings and decorations with different levels of difficulty, so there's a little bit of something for everyone!

Hi ! Your flaneur definition is accurate. It’s typically the behavior when you walk throught streets without a target, just looking randomly buildings, sky, shop “vitrines” and just chill. This is an activity i love when visiting cities, just to experience the mood!

I watch a number of set-ups each month to get inspiration and of course to enjoy the process. Sometimes I will try something similar or a spin-off of what they are doing. With yours, you are so far out my league in talent, I grab a coffee and sit back and enjoy watching you effortlessly create lovely works of art. They are lovely.

what a wonderful video about the wonder of motherhood and pregnancy. I don't know, when you filmed it, but I do sincerely hope, that the birth went well. I have three children, which are almost adults now. I can promise you, that being a mother is the most wonderful thing, a human being can experience. It's also the most strenuous thing, and you get tired, but you also grow so much. I do wish you all the best.

What a lovely theme! The colours are so romantic. Can’t imagine being able to replicate this level of artistry but loved watching your process. I love that you don’t use stickers in your setups. No shade to anyone who does, I can’t draw stick figures so I have to use them too. It’s just that I love watching the creative process more than I like watching the peeling and positioning of stickers!
Haha I so happy you think so! ☺️ I totally get why people want to use them though, they save a lot of time and if you don't do this as your "job", it might be exactly what you need. 😄 But I love to encourage people to use their journals as a creative outlet and a sketchbook, so this way just works so much better for videos I think!
I recreated it too as a gift for my teacher. Have to say I wasn't able to get the same color warmth.
My painting looked good in its own way but compared to yours if wasn't as much romantic and vintage looking 😃

I never watch the bujo planning videos when people just put stickers or cut outs (especially the happy planner ones) because I don't find that educational. We learn by copying others. I'm shocked people requested you do that, but I'm glad you don't. I love watching people painting and drawing while I'm grooming my cat. Both of your drawings look amazing. thanks

A good paper for copics are cardstocks, vellum, or bristol. :) You should get them so that you can use your copics more often.

I would absolutely consider buying some of your printables. Your art is just stunning! Love your spread ideas also. Will have to go through all your older videos. I would suggest leaving dates off your digitals so they are usable from year to year and people can mix and match their favorites.

This theme is so elegant and fresh 🌼 Your cover illustration looks great, if I hadn't listened to your thoughts while watching, I would ever think to criticise, sometimes narratives in our heads can be doubtful but I like to remind myself that this doesn't take away from the beauty of what we are creating 🤭 Your tip about adding a color palette is so helpful, I sometimes feel pages are missing something and sometimes struggle to add a meaningful detail, my March setup is already finished but I will be trying out the tip for April if I struggle. I have turned into an avid flaneur during all the lockdown months we have had and I have really grown to love my town even more 💜
I totally agree with you! I try to keep things real on my channel, because when you see someone drawing online, it's so easy to assume it's always fun and easy for them 😄 But the reality is that you rarely feel you're "ready" or skillful enough to start a new/more difficult piece and sometimes it feels like you don't even know how to hold a pen 🙈

This is my favorite monthly theme. I love the calmness of the picture and neutral tones that you had used. Just reminding ourselves that we need peace and quiet in our life and get away from the hectic life. Great job on this one and love the functional planning aspect for this month, too. I haven't been too focused on art except for functional planning. But I did do small and simple bujo art for my March set up to celebrate my 15 year wedding anniversary. Might be posting that on my IG soon.

About flaneur, we have a very similar word in Swedish, flanera, with the same meaning 😊 it’s actually a word I really like!

I would recommend marker paper for markers because watercolour paper absorbs a lot more ink which makes your pens dry out a lot faster.
