The reason there is an occupation is to minimize conflict and terror. We want a two state solution to end the conflict and minimize the terror, however the Palestinian leaders prefer continued conflict and the myth of destroying Israel to a two state solution.
Correct. Their Jihadist-Nazi ideology seeks the total destruction of Israel and the annihilation of all Jews. And that's just the beginning. They was to resurrect the Caliphate and welcome in their Mahdi.

What is the most Pro Palestinian and most Pro Israeli thing that can be done? Exercise justice. Can PLO and Israel negotiate it? possibly, but this is what I mean by justice. There is only 1 path. Through a holy book that all three religions respect, the Torah. And what does the Torah bring? Justice, let me explain: Jesus famous saying "love your neighbor as yourself" is a quote found in Leviticus 19:18. One of the blessings of the Torah is it explains how to love your neighbor. For example, it highlights a number of times the importance of taking care of orphans, widows and foreigners living in their land: Exodus 22:22: "Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless." Deuteronomy 24:17: "Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge." Deuteronomy 27:19 (ESV): Cursed be anyone who perverts the justice due to the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ And elsewhere in the Bible: Psalm 146:7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. We don’t have to be a Palestinian supporter, but these verses highlight the moral obligation to protect and provide for the vulnerable members of society, including the poor, orphans, widows and foreigners living in your land. We’re not commanded to love only our kinsmen and those who share our worldview. And this is how justice can occur (but it won't be easy setting up the magistrate system to carry it out): Justice requires fair weights and measures. Matthew 7:2-5 (ESV): For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Proverbs 20:10 (ESV): Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord. If it can be proven that they committed crimes beyond the allowable standard and if convicted, the penalties described in the Torah would apply. For the destruction inflicted, the penalty would range from 2 to 4 times retribution for the damage they inflicted. Additionally, for indiscriminate murders of civilians, those responsible would face capital punishment. This accountability would extend to all leaders involved in the decision-making process and any military personnel who executed the orders. Only biblical justice offers those residing in the Holy Land any prospect of coexisting with a people who have perpetrated these atrocities. Without justice, this cycle of violence and destruction will persist. While we acknowledge the need for these people to encounter Jesus, they require the assistance of the international community to establish some semblance of justice. Torah justice stands as the only means by which true peace can be achieved.
Israel's leader is God's own chosen leader. Nobody questions God. Nobody questions God's own chosen leader. Don't mess with the good God. Don't mess with God's own chosen people or their leader.
The exit of Netanyahu doesn't change one bit from jow Israel is going to fight this war or negotiate with Hamas. The successor is constrained to behave like Netanyahu or even harder liner.
Do the Arabs living in Gaza, Hebron and Ramallah etc, want to live in peace and harmony with Israel. Have they ever had a leader who genuinely desired peace with Israel. Was Arafat telling the West one thing but telling the Arabs something different. The answers to those questions should give you an idea as to where this saga could head to and that's before you factor in the Jihadist currently in power in Tehran, their proxies and even Russia, Syria and quite possibly Turkey and aspirations for an Ottoman restoration.
How can anyone with less than an ounce of humanity can say that Israel is fighting (it is committing a massacre) the war effectively. Have you seen what is left of Al Shifa hospital? How many armed men you think were in the emergency room to lead to this level of destruction?
What Friedman says sounds very sensible to me. The situation Is utterly delicate, Really no time for ego, grudges or stupidity. Come on, gentlemen, behave!
@@lilianehuddleston9363the illegal part comes from the Geneva convention. If a state forcibly moves a population there. Has Israel forcibly relocated its population to Judea & Samaria? No. They offered incentives. So whatever settlements in zone A are not illegal
Not one word about ongoing genocide Hamas killed 1200 and they are terrorist but Israel killed 34000 and is democratic. What kind of terminology is that?
In my opinion PA and PLO have lost too much credibility to be able to administer and govern Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza. It would require a credible armed resistance in Gaza and in West Bank as well as from Syria and Hezbollah for Israel to agree to a diplomatic solution and end its occupation in Gaza and West Bank. The one state solution is one that seems to be gaining a lot of support in some circles but is not widely aceepted. Possibly because it seems such a far reach that the solution to the Israeli Palestinian issue could be a “South African” model. One democratic state with equal rights for both Palestinians and Israelis.
Let’s imagine the following. The same conversation took place in 1938. Neville Chamberlein was discussing with British journalist if they should react sharply to Hitler’s invasion of Czechoslovakia or take it easy and first make sure all German civilians are safe. Maybe sign some sort of treaty with Hitler since he will likely settle for it and limit his ambitions with river Rein. After all why would he need Baltic Sea or Black Sea. Who needs oil wells or trade routes! Israel is today’s Czechoslovakia and appears to be under attack. Apparently history lessons are never learnt. It is unfortunate. Let’s not forget that US and UK bear collective guilt for not allowing Jewish refugees (yes, a lot of them children) to be saved from Nazi atrocities and causing numerous fatalities as a result. Ironically, it is Czech Republic that was most helpful to Israel through most difficult times. It knows the pain of aggression. God bless that little country. It is important that US and UK do not repeat their 1930-s mistakes and do not cause atrocities against Jewish people to be repeated. World, since early ages of humanity, is highly anti-Semitic. And it has nothing to do with Israel.
Israel funneled money into Hamas, they helped keep them in power for almost two decades. How is that anything like Czechoslovakia in 1938, are you saying they had something to do with the rise of Germany, helping them amass the power they did? As far as Israel, it seems like they are destroying their country with this war. From destroying diplomatic ties, driving down their economy, increasing political unrest with massive protests from Israelis, how is any of this anyone's fault but the Israeli government's? The US does not bear collective guilt for the Holocaust, Germany does. The only thing we will have guilt over if we help Israel commit another holocaust against the Palestinians. Maybe the entire world is antisemitic and hates Israel. Well what do they want the rest of us to do about that? A competent government would realize that's the world they live in. Clearly Israel is not a competent government and is coming apart at the seams.
Arab nations have consistently said they won't go in as it would appear they are collaborating. Gazans will resent these countries not intervening to help them. First of all the land has to be given back in Gaza and the West Bank. Stop talking about a Palestinian state and start the plan.
And it appears you weren't complaining when Egypt occupied Gaza strip and Jordan held Judea and Samaria 1948-1967. .? Why didn't they make a state then? Because the Arab Palestinians are not able to self govern and lack responsibility to become part of the world's nations. They are despised by their Arab brothers and sisters for their appalling behaviour and havoc that they cause all over the region : Black September Jordan Lebanon and Egypt as well as Kuwait all kicked out the Palestinians from their countries. So, ultimately, it us up to the Arab Palestinians to self reflect - why ?
I had to stop watching and listening to TF when he stated his most pro Palestinian Israeli and peace strategies because they don't address the fundamental problems or causes of this conflict
Thomas one again showed him to be beyond clueless on the conflict. He things of it from a Western Liberal point of view, as if the conflict is between western liberals, he needs to learn much more about the religion and culture in the middle east. And stop using Netanyahu as his scapegoat.
Let the people of Palestine decide who are their leaders, why should the Palestine Athourity govern, when they have not played any role in liberating Palestine from the Isrealis .Why don’t you look at the atrocities done by an occupying power.
@@paulamarsh1It's not their land, it never was! God gave it to the Jews long before Islam even existed, and the Jews will own it long after Islam is gone!

You mean the occupation of Gaza that ended in 2005? Or are you referring to the current situation, which was the result of Hamas' terrible and short-sighted invasion of Israel?
Not many people get it! Most Christians and Jews know and believe that GOD gave the land, as recorded in the Bible to the Israelites, Period! GOD will not allow it!

Palestinian State Mr Friedman! You want the occupation to continue!
My God where is this guys moral stance. What's the agenda? Who's he speaking for?
NAHTanyahu? What's up with your weird pronunciation?
I hope the enemies of Israel are embarrassed and deterred.
He is a nutter, so I'm kinda thinkin it's appropriate
Israel's leader is God's own chosen leader. Nobody questions God. Nobody questions God's own chosen leader. Don't mess with the good God. Don't mess with God's own chosen people or their leader.
The exit of Netanyahu doesn't change one bit from jow Israel is going to fight this war or negotiate with Hamas. The successor is constrained to behave like Netanyahu or even harder liner.
Hamas will pretend to come to agreement but will never to a firm and final agreeable settlement.
“...Israel is a democracy, Hamas is a terrorist organization...”, that just shows how those two don’t know crap about the conflict.
The dude talking is crazy
I like his view on the current situation. Forming PLO is imp if we talk about peace to happen such things Israel attack must be stopped.
How can anyone with less than an ounce of humanity can say that Israel is fighting (it is committing a massacre) the war effectively.
Have you seen what is left of Al Shifa hospital? How many armed men you think were in the emergency room to lead to this level of destruction?
Friedman really sums up the question on Israel - Palestine: new ideas or new weapons.
The Resistance is winning
What would hammas do for LGBQ+2, women's rights and aiding the west against Iran, Chyna and Russia. Please let that sink in lady.
What Friedman says sounds very sensible to me. The situation Is utterly delicate, Really no time for ego, grudges or stupidity. Come on, gentlemen, behave!
What about the illegal seelements in the west bsnk
This is Judea and Samaria, so it is not illegal.
@@paulamarsh1 which are part of the west bank
@@lilianehuddleston9363the illegal part comes from the Geneva convention. If a state forcibly moves a population there. Has Israel forcibly relocated its population to Judea & Samaria? No. They offered incentives. So whatever settlements in zone A are not illegal
Not one word about ongoing genocide
Hamas killed 1200 and they are terrorist but Israel killed 34000 and is democratic.
Very well done video
Given back to who. Gaza was Egypt, Brittan then the Ottomons. West bank was the Britts then Ottomans.
The out come will show its head soon it’s not the PA or Hamas the west keep forgetting the Palestinian people
Friedman prescription is "A Pie the Sky".
a jourist is not supposed to take sides in news just report what has happen
Don't have bad leaders. Got it.
Can United States of America share their capital city Wshington D.C with any country as part of their capital?
I had to stop watching and listening to TF when he stated his most pro Palestinian Israeli and peace strategies because they don't address the fundamental problems or causes of this conflict
Thomas one again showed him to be beyond clueless on the conflict. He things of it from a Western Liberal point of view, as if the conflict is between western liberals, he needs to learn much more about the religion and culture in the middle east.
And stop using Netanyahu as his scapegoat.
Ian Bremmer says :-
“as unthinkable as it is today the conflict in Gaza will one day end . . .”
One day Ian? . . . One day?
Wow, i change my mind about this person, some of his outlook is exceptional. Iran has already declared war with us
The only somewhat-worthwhile comments TF has are about Ukraine. When it comes to Israel and the Mideast, his insights are anything but.
"It's not War... rather a State Terrorism", says Pope Francis....

This guy doesn't talk about Israel's brutal occupation.
What occupation? Israel departed Gaza a decade ago. You notice Israel has peace with neighbors Egypt and Jordan ? Why hasn’t Palestinians in Gaza have one ? Israeli has proven, proven they want peace and has 2 peace treaties
You mean Hamas brutal occupation and imprisonment of the Palestinian people?
You mean the occupation of Gaza that ended in 2005? Or are you referring to the current situation, which was the result of Hamas' terrible and short-sighted invasion of Israel?

Friedman is one of the chosen ones lol
Had to stop at 8:20. Nothing intelligent here.
What is missing here to acknowledge the fact that Israel is a European colonialist and imperialist state occupying Palestine for seventy five years and Hama's is a reaction to that occupation.
It’s not going to end well
HAMAS ❤USA 🇺🇸🇵🇸
Tommy's concept of "WE" is conveniently interchangeable.. very fluid. Moreover, one can easily swap his pro-pals resolution with the pro-israeli one and still have no problem!
What a waste of time, Ian!
Thank you for your narrative but the problem is, is it the same with the thinking of the palestinians? I think it's the opposite of what you've said.
