Idk man everyone over states how nice jinx is. Like I understand she's not totally evil but she was a legit terrorist that blew up dozens of people. (She also blew him up on the bridge in season 1 when echo hesitated)
@DubGamin420 I do understand that she is constantly hammered and heavily drained mentally from her various mental illness that lead to a borderline full psychosis condition.I have a pretty bad case of ocd for a decade now and could relate to some of her struggles but hurting others because you are tired of your own suffering and "don't care anymore" is never the right choice.
Thing is ekko is barely present during act 1 and absent from act 2 last time he saw jinx was the bridge fight and last thing he heard was that she blew up the council . So he has no knowledge of the isha/vander/hero of zaun situation yet he still decided to forgive her
A kinda sad detail is that usually Jinx's grenades, like normal grenades, explode with a delay of few seconds. This means that she built this grenade with no delay only for blowing up herself.
It's important that Ekko is the one to save Jinx here because, unlike Vi, he watched Powder transform into Jinx. Even when she still went by Powder, she was broken in ways Vi never acknowledged. Vi also never saw everything Jinx was capable of or all of the terrible things she did in the 7 years she was away. Jinx never murdered anyone close to Vi. (Yes, she killed Mylo, Claggor, and Vander, but that was accidental.) Jinx is responsible for the deaths of several of Ekko's friends. He watched her help Silco corrupt the Lanes. He's seen her darkest of darkness and still chooses to forgive her.
I like that Jinx's tears and mascara looks like the name tattoo VI has on her cheek but in reverse. Especially considering Jinx is trying to sacrifice herself so that VI can lead a happy life with Cait and the previous scene which was all about this conflict between the two sisters. VI always fights to protect others but now Jinx is trying to end herself instead to protect others as well. The same concept but in reverse.
Also the Roman Numeral for 6 is VI which looks exactly like VI's name and Jinx's tears/her reversed version is IV which in roman numeral is the number 4. Which is a very significant number for both Ekko and Jinx as we know from episode 7.
I think when Ekko said, "someone worth building it for," Jinx thought of Vi. She wanted to create a better place, one she couldn’t give to Isha and one Vi couldn’t give to Powder, despite trying so hard. So, Jinx came back to save the city for Vi and died saving her. Because after losing everyone, she only had Vi, who was worth building it for. However, she left again because she believed she had gone too far to ever give Vi her sister, Powder back, and Jinx is someone Vi doesn't deserve. Also, she went away to break the cycle and I guess to again find herself, maybe not Powder but a better version of Jinx. I believe after Isha's death, she finally understands why Vi left her home during that rescue mission and how she would have done the same and she did it with Isha during the fight with Vander. And she would've done that again if the Act 2 fight wasn't so sudden. Anyway, I am really happy that Jinx is alive. Vi spent her whole life blaming herself for the deaths of her siblings and Vander, and abandoning Powder, therefore, creating Jinx. I can’t bear to imagine her blaming herself again if Jinx were to die. I hope she finds out about Jinx soon because, as much as I admire Vi as an individual, I love the sisters together the most.
Because its the most character driven part of the show this season. Thats was the real power of arcane. Everything else was cool but started to go God Mode like late show Naruto. God mode without character reason is boring.
"no matter what happened in the past, it's never too late to build something new. Someone worth building it for." and jinx's tears writing VI backwards the same way she wrote jinx backwards on her other cheek.
Ekko realized he still wanted to give her another chance or rather help powder give herself another chance after seeing what she could have been if things didnt turned out so grim in their time line
Even though ekko rewinds time by 4 seconds, he still retains some of the damage he took in those 4 seconds. It’s like this in the game. That’s why each time he saved jinx he was more burned and bleeding on top of his makeup fading. Oh yeah, he also remembers the sensation of each blast after every rewind.
They left it that way for a reason. It allows for the ending to be ambiguous. Because he could have explained to her who she was in an alternate timeline and I think that could explain her renewed will to live and the potential survival in the end.
This scene is exactly why I hate the cait and vi s$x scene they really didn’t have to do it you know they only did it to appease the hardcover shipper fans which I would have no problem with if that screen time couldn’t have had a better use. I just listened to the full version of this song and it actually ends with words "don't let me go". I thought it would have been rad if they played this part at the end of their dialogue
Jinx tried to blow herself up each time the same way the Hextech jewel blew up. 1st: when she stole it from Jayce 2nd: when it swallowed the doctor, 3: when she used it to save vander 4: when she used it vs piltover 5: when Isha used it 6: she drops with it as she does at the end. Accounting for each time Hextech was used to intervene to change the time-line it seems. (Maybe accounting for the loss of deaths that should have happened if not for intervention, Kindred must have their souls.
did jinx know that ekko went to an alternate universe? She briefly glances down at his z drive and sees the little monkeys so maybe she knows whats going on?
