New Mexico has the best plates in the US (flag too, for that matter). Totally underrated state in general, so it was nice to see it get some love here. As a former resident, I was always partial to the blue version of the plates. Nice video!
I recently retired from law enforcement. I like the plates that are very easy to read the alphanumeric code from a long distance. Although Tennessee’s new license plate looks very nice, the seven digit system is difficult to read from more than 20 feet away. In my opinion, the best plate for long distance visibility would be New Jersey. The three designs that I like the best are Georgia, Arizona, and Connecticut. The three designs that I like the least are Oklahoma, Idaho, and South Dakota.
You have an old edition of the Ohio plate. Ohio has issued two newer versions since that plate was issued. Michigan has issued a newer version also. Personally, I think the Indiana Plate should have made the top ten and it is definitely better that the Utah plate.
since you like the Indiana plate, you will get to see that plate on the roads for a long time as we now have 7 year cycle so the current will be on the road till at least 2031 while the early ones should start getting cycled out next year i believe.
The state mottos on some plates reminds me of a routine by comedian George Carlin. He took the New Hampshire and Idaho mottos and said, "There's a big difference between 'Live Free Or DIEEEEEE!!!!!!' and 'Famous Potatoes'."
AZ is #1 and TX has many other styles to pick from. You choose the Basic "if you dont pick, we give you plate" TX plate. I have been to 38 of the 50 states and I have lived in 5 of them. Overall I say your list is good but I would make some changes.

Thats interesting because when I did my research, those were the newest licence plates I could find. Also interesting opinion, thanks for sharing

The rainbow on the hawaii plate is that you will see a rainbow on most days due to rain and sun shine after it everywhere.
The "waves" on Missouri are for the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.
Im from SC the old one was much better.
I get Pennsylvania and West Virginia mixed up sometimes, bc from a distance they look the same.
I live in KY now, and I don't think I seen that one yet.

Washington DC IMO is the best plate soley because they have their political strife on the plate.
I don't think NJ ever changed theirs. Its been the same since I was a kid.
lot of states have not changed theirs in years if not for as long as I have been alive which is 40+ years
I've seen older blue ones, but they were very old plates.

Arizona has some fancy custom plates just i would never get one as they cost yearly
