- 1000-Mile Review of the Ventus One Electric Dirt Bike
After logging 1000 miles on the Ventus One, I can definitely say that this bike is worth every penny. Especially at current prices (5.7k).
Performance
The torque and throttle response is absolutely face melting. If you’re not careful, it’ll buck you off. I started learning at 40% power since this was my first e-bike.
Battery Life
Over 1000 miles, the battery has shown excellent durability and consistency. Recharging takes about 2.5hrs to charge from empty. Real world range has been anywhere from 30-50 miles for a 200lb rider. 30 with aggressive riding in dirt and sand. 50 miles street cruising on 60% power.
Durability and Build
The build quality seems to be good. It’s from China so don’t set your expectations high. That being said, I have no complaints. So far.
Comfort and Handling
The lightweight design makes it agile and easy to maneuver, even after long rides. The seat on the other hand, needs to be upgraded.
Maintenance
lol
Final Thoughts
After 1000 miles, the Ventus One has been the best money I’ve spent on entertainment.
hey man, thats a nice bike you got and let me ask you that question lets say you wanna sell it. Are you gonna sell it 5.5k usd the amount you bought it from alibaba or 7.5k usd the amount ventus one us sells it at ? Because since im in canada, i dont think any ventus one is in the country and i wanted to buy one from alibaba and they told me its 5900 usd with all shipping and stuff and youre saying its 5.7k so are they making me pay a little more then what they should sell me the bike? And also the price of the ventus is 5.4k us without any fees or anything from what they told me . theres a bit of questions there haha. And to finish it off ive already bought a talaria xxx from them so i can trust them but let me know what you think! Thanks!
Yeah I’d probably sell it for 5k but I’ll be waiting til the first Stark Varg EXs start showing up.
The Ventus only sells for ~$5700 from US dealers. The domestic price matches the old Alibaba price.
Ventus ain't selling for 5K when you can get them new for around that. especially with his condition.
Questions,
Does your password work? I set password but if u don’t enter password for about 30 seconds, screen turns on anyway.
Also sometimes (not always) but I have death wobble at high speeds 55+, but rare occasion, but sometimes low speeds like 30mph also.
But other than that, I also love this bike.
I haven’t messed with the password at all. I don’t leave my bike anywhere unattended. As far as death wobble, yeah also I get that at high speeds. You just have to really hold onto the bars.
I think maybe you also activated the Bluetooth unlock. If your phone is near it unlocks .
@ hmmm I don’t think I did activate that. But I will check
Uhh am i buggin or is your controller hanging in by just the side screws...
I noticed that too lol. I tried fixing the light and tore the bike apart and forgot those 2 screws haha
How reliable is this bike should i get mx5 or ventus one
I wouldn’t bother with the MX5 honestly. The Ventus has been super reliable so far. 1.1k miles so far.
Im curious about the AliBaba seller you talked to, I wanna import a bunch of these and see if i cant get them out their to people in canada for a reasonable price
You don't happen to have the sellers account or the manufacturer that you contacted by chance?
Sure do. I talked with Muriel from Double Spring Machinery Company. Very helpful and notified me that if you mention me by name, she’ll give $$$ off.
hi man, you have version on 20 or 28 kwt?
28kw
@@harlan7777 Is 28 kW too much for him or not, am I just thinking about taking the 20-kilowatt version as well, or will there be too few of them? and I also remember that you had a video against the yz85, if you had a full battery pack, would you outrun it?
@@murakamiq I originally ordered the 20kw version but I’m glad i went with the 28kw because I still use that power. And yes, I would’ve smoked the 85cc bike no problem. My bike was less than a mile from being empty.
@@murakamiqthe 20kW never went into production. There were a very small number made in the pre production phase.
If you have the power to around 10-12 kw or maybe 15 is the top speed still the same or at least 55-60mph+
Yes, the top speed should be around 55-60 at those power settings. Assuming they are accurate. I get 62mph at 16.kw on a 200lb rider.
Would you say I should get this over the erp 3.0?
And is it easy to control?
@MJRedden if you like beating every other e bike this size then yeah I’d get this one.
I also heard u say when ur going fast you get the death wobble sometimes. Is that bc the ergonomics of js this bike or is it the same for all the bikes in this class?
I thought the CEO/founder was disabling all ventus bikes and bricking them if they were bought from alibaba? unless they decided they needed the money and decided to sell in bulk to everyone? either way, bike is nice man!
Oh I didn’t hear about that. I don’t update my bike anyways haha. Thanks bro! This thing is a ripper for sure!
