Great video! I did that trail in full on July 25th. Beautiful place. I camped just below the mine. My video isn't nearly as good as yours. Great job on that!
How was the trail? Going there at the end of July to do it and black bear pass and a few others. I’ve got a ‘19 wrangler JLU on 3.5” lift and 37’s anything I should expect to have trouble getting through?
@@DieselFirefighter72 With that rig you should walk right through there. Just keep it pointed down hill on the rough spots before the steps. It's the only place that lifted, and stock vehicles have a rolling issue. It's an absolutely breath taking trail!
Nice video, good job with the editing and camera angles. Just curious why the tires are on backwards on the black JKU? Lol. I'm sure there's a story worth sharing.
Hahaha, ya we get that alot. We know many very experienced offroaders and they say that these tires get better traction backwards. Honestly who knows if there is even a performance difference😂
The awning is from Offroadgear.com. We are not sure exactly sure what model it is because we couldn't find it. It must be discontinued or something. Here is a link to a similar one that we saw while searching around. www.broadout.com/car-tent-suv-tent-for-outdoor-camping-kingcamp.html
The campsite is located just south of Ouray, on the Portland mine Trail. It can get confusing to find but the approximate GPS coordinates are 38.01647, -107.66387. If you are traveling the trail it will be on your left hand side. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Rode in a Willys jeep back in the 70's on Engineer Pass. Cool to see.
Reaaly love engineer pass, heading there in a few days to check it out for the first time this year!
It really is an amazing trail!

I'll be out that way again in July myself. The 17th though August 6th. Definitely doing Black Bear again!
I’ll be there 26-31 July

That is if you even get there in a Toyota, Lol! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Was it scary to drive there given that the road is so narrow?
It can definitely get a little sketchy of you are not used to heights.
