I salute you Sanjeev Sanyal. Only if we were taught history like you have shared, all of us would have grown up as proud Indians - I don't mean ultra nationalists, but people who respect our land, our history and our people. This part is also essential if we have to become a soft power, if we have follow a strong value system. Thank you Sanjeev

I feel a massive goosebump. When Dr. Sanjeev Sanyal was describing about our own true history, I was literally having time traveled along with him into that timeline of 3000 B.C.E

I was moved to my eyes welling up at the last part...of kumbh meaning a pitcher (never knew that) and how we carried a pitcher when we migrated and how when people moved to Mauritius they carried those pitchers and so on...
This was enlightening...i made a personal goal of sorts of reading every book Sanjeev Sanyal has written...ive already read a couple of them...

I read somewhere that resulting the invasion of Bengal and dethroning of the Palas, an exodus of the erstwhile ruling class and their loyalists took place. Many of whom went all the way to the island of Lanka and enriching local language by adding some words to it.

I have heard several lecture of Dr.Sanjeev Sanyal in UA-cam. I am a Odia. I have read a Odia Novel, Bali Raja by Sri Kanhu Charan Mohanty. Where the author has written about the piracy that was faced by the odia merchant How a man met his father in the prison, which was built by the Pirate, who gain happens to be a Odia, in a remote Island. I think Dr. Sanyal should aproch one of his friend who can translate the book into English, so that many non oriya can read the book and know about the maritime history of India.

I used to listen to my mother and father chanting the following mantra when taking dip in any water body or river anywhere telling that doing do will bring punya in bounties .
    गङ्गे च यमुने चैव गोदावरि सरस्वति ।
    नर्मदे सिन्धु कावेरि जलेऽस्मिन् संनिधिं कुरु ॥
Gangge Ca Yamune Cai[a-E]va Godaavari Sarasvati |
Narmade Sindhu Kaaveri Jale-[A]smin Sannidhim Kuru ||
This again confirms the existence of Saraswati River being explained by you .
Very nice and thank you very much

The princess was not from Ayodhya as claìmed then by the Indian politicians in govt. in the course of negotiations to improve trade with South Korea few years ago. In fact, it was their counterparts who raised this interesting historical fact.
According to a Korean researcher their language has so far has been found some 500 words of Tamil origin. In a tv interview, he confirmed that it was due to their contacts with South India since the time the princess from Kanjipuram married a Korean prince.
Apparently, some of their foods are hot and spicy due to the influence of the cooks and servants sent along for her comfortable life by her father, the king.
Another interesting fact is that about 30% of the Korean population today, if I can remember correctly, comes from this lineage.
