I gotta disagree with 1 thing, Dan says how if Fetty was truly innocent then he shouldn't care what others think. When someone is innocent and they lose their job, friends and future opportunities, it's not as simple as just ignoring it or it will eat them up and they will suffer very harsh mental illnesses like agoraphobia or severe BPD. Mind you if you are innocent, acting like a tool in someone's DMs is also the wrong way to handle the situation.
On retrospect I have to agree with you on that. I was kinda thinking more in a just if someone random was saying kinda way. but then if they are making videos and the such it's a whole different story. An giving the accusations its obviously alot more heavy hitting to the reputation than almost anything. Thanks for calling that out!
@@DanWebz This happens in the music scene alot. The problem is that no one can seperate the innocent from the guilty without having to say that the victim was lying. In most cases both the innocent and guilty are given the same punishment of total isolation from their friends, peers and fanbase without ever being given a fair trial. We always want to support victims of abuse but there needs to be a better system to seperate the good from the bad. In some punk communities there is the "accountability process" but from what I've seen, that's only given if you've won a popularity contest first. This video kinda reminds me of how whether Fetty is actually innocent or guilty, he'll never see a day in court or see a day with him returning to skateboarding in the same capacity. Even after watching this whole video I still can't tell if he's innocent or guilty..

@@Dario__ I've been through this kinda shit with a psycho ex and I asked for the "accountability process" but was denied because no one wanted to do it. It's much easier to block n delete someone than it is to ask them for their side of the story. It has fucked me up pretty badly as I lost a lot of ppl I thought were close friends but they never gave me a chance to defend myself from whatever was said about me. I also heard it took longer for them to cut up their next line of speed than it did to vote me out of the punk scene. Similar stuff has happened to guys like Enzo Amore (wrestler), the girl lied about being drugged so her Dad wouldn't send her to rehab, it cost him his job in WWE and Enzo has never been as famous or well paid since he was fired.

Just to add something extra, the first video you watched was made by Chads Sinclair. He was a Braille fanboy and skated for punisher, which were glorified Walmart boards. Braille talked bad about them and he took offense to that and them not wanting to interact with him so he saw an opportunity and basically trashed braille and fetty constantly. Claiming rumors were true. Creating multiple channels to push his narrative. Even going so far as to say Brailles acid skateboard video was a sneak diss at Chadd because they used a punisher board and his mom was a victim of an acid attack. The dude pushed the whole Save Our Kids thing but now he's in his mid 30s and hangs out with underage kids/girls a little too frequently. Weird
Also not defending Fetty. As someone who's been lied to by girls about their age, I get that someone who's 17 or maybe 16 could convince you that they're of age pretty easily, someone who is 14 claiming they're 19 or 20 wouldn't really work. There are for sure ways to tell. I also don't think Fetty is the sharpest crayon ever so maybe he thought she was underage but maybe he didn't realize how young or hell, he could've just been horny and didn't think. I highly doubt he's out there preying on children. I doubt he'd ever do it again. More likely he was internet famous and had a girl throw herself at him and just got caught in a weird situation. Should he have stepped away when he saw the signs? Yeah. But I think she got caught by her parents and made up whatever got her out of trouble.
One last thing, skating or bmx or really any extreme sport is it's own world where age doesn't really matter or isn't thought of the same way because you're just skating. You have something in common so everyone's sorta level. When I was 12-14 years old I went on day trips with dudes like 21-24 to go skate random parks or spots. Sometimes I'd be in parks with 50 year old dudes shredding. That's pretty normal. You skate, you talk about skating or bands or whatever and that's it. Today kids play online with grown ups constantly, they just aren't in the same place. It makes sense why Fetty was around her in the first place and maybe why they communicated some, he was giving her lessons, but anything beyond talking about skating shouldn't have happened

In court, especially in cases of sexual abuse, we often face the challenge of conflicting statements, where it's one person's word against another's.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but it's also important to note that Braille is part of Scientology. Though not directly related to the current case, this information becomes significant when considering whether one should defend Braille.

Accusations are all it takes to ruin someone now. Addressing publicly accusations against someone you work with will drag you down if you dont immediately just convict them. Trials don’t exist in the court of public opinion.

I remember this unfolding back in 2019. That girl ended up making a scripted video where she talked about how she lied about her age and was taken advantage of by Fetty. Obviously Fetty did not lie about not knowing her true age. Where I took issue was that he must’ve known she was lying because that girl did not look anywhere near 20. She looked like a kid and was one. I know many people don’t look their age, I’m one of them, but even the way she spoke gave it away.
It looks to me like Fetty ignored these facts and paid the price. Shame on her for lying and shame on him for thinking it wouldn’t bite him in the butt. He used his status to take advantage of her. What kind of a man does that?

Writing it off as "he's innocent" simply because he wasn't charged or prosecuted can be a biiiiit of a dangerous statement to make.
I highly implore you to explore the side from the victim's perspective and to consider the complexities that come in when it comes to actually pushing a case to the courts.

fetty wasn't completely fired he just wasn't in their youtube videos because the main audience is children. i guess 3-4 months after that he quite but is still friends with all the braille guys. the girl ended up coming forward and said that she lied to hime about her age and i guess he was trying to sue her after it all. there are so many video explaining all and i believe he even has one himself.
If he's innocent he's not guilty, he's not covering nothing he showed it to the authorities and the authorities investigate and found him innocent, done. I don't like to base my opinion on people's morality based on the law. If you watch predator sting videos based on professional youtubers it seems like the police don't frequently follow through. The alleged victims mother does have a video accusing him of statutory rape. ( Still need to watch it and commenting to help engagement). From my googling, I cannot find an arrest so it doesn't sound like presses have been charged. It's possible the mother cannot afford a good lawyer, or it was settled outside of court. Without a screenshot of their conversations speaking about age I wouldn't say he is innocent because she looks very young. But can't prove otherwise either.

As a 14 year old child, wouldn't your parents have some sort of idea about fettys Age just by looking at him one time. Or did they never meet them. Some parents really just let their kids do whatever, yeah. If i had a 14 yeah old child that was going out with friends, i would at least like to have some sort of idea before they leave the house. Like, you dont just see fetty once and go. Yeah, he must only be 14 as well, lol. Idk, maybe they did. And sure, she probably lied to her parents about him and what she was doing, but it always comes back around. Also, when children lie about their age to fully grown adults to get something out of them, do they ever deal with consequences or just a slap on hand. Generally curious 🤔
