    As a woman who has been bulking for two months (after having been afraid for years), I can totally confirm that the results are frickin' amazing. I notice differences myself and I've gotten SO many positive comments from others who've noticed changes in me. NO regrets!

      @Yirlani well, I was 200lbs overweight with no muscle in the beginning of my fitness journey, lost 50lbs through lifting and eating right so I'm just worried about gaining fat again

    I ruined my metabolism eating ~1000 calories a day for 1-2 years when I was about 15. The only thing that helped me was letting go of my obsessive view of food & calories. Upped my calories & threw away my scales & I’m feeling stronger, more muscular & leaner than I have in a long time. Look after yourself everybody!

      Same bro im 16 rn and was eating 1400 calories for weeks straight trying to get lean but then i upped my calories to about 2200+ i got much better results. I use to think eating more would get me fat.

    Really liked this video! This is something that I’ve struggled with for a long time. These last two weeks I also have stopped weighing myself and I’m just trying to focus on strength. In a couple more weeks I’m gonna measure and weigh myself to see what my results are

    I'm a guy and struggle so hard with this. Going from being morbidly obese to fairly fit....I am so afraid of this. I have been doing it and noticed my weight go up, but I think I look better. I still freak out seeing the scale though! It is so hard!

      Dude I know the feeling. I weighed 270 before getting healthy. Got down to 192 by doing cardio and cutting calories... did it very unhealthily. 2 months ago I started bulking and even though I look better and am stronger, watching the scale go up still freaks me out.

      @@alexbromley9384 yeah! Totally still battling this. I don't think this will ever go away for us....maybe a fear of going back to where we were before! We got this though!

      @@richardroyal2295 completely agree. I am fairly disgusted with how unhealthy I let myself go in the past. Definitely scared of letting myself go that direction again. I know I can stay strong and keep putting in work. I was obsessed with my weight for 2 years. Now I need to let that obsession go and focus more on my other goals.

      @@richardroyal2295 i might have to take you up on that offer. I am running maps anabolic now and if it wasn’t for mind pump I would still be doing too much cardio and not eating enough. I am trying to figure out macro balance and when I should start cutting to be lean for summer. Doing my best but it’s still trial and error.

    Great show!
    What do you think about doing six 30min workouts instead of three 1hour workouts a week? I'm much more consistent with the 30 min ones.
    I'm doing big the big 5 compound exercises.
    Thanks!

    I have a friend who is about 5'10", 200lbs, we've been training together for about a year and a half or so. And before that he was about 220lbs+. He was athletic and did weights before he got up to 220lbs so I suppose the muscle he has now is from muscle memory. He is currently eating about 1600 to 1800 cals which is very low. He tried to increase calories from carbs few months ago for the purpose of speeding up metabolism and he quickly gained 4 to 6lbs and didnt like the direction it was going. Plus he is already doing 5k runs 3 or 4x a week. I also feel like he is maxing out at the gym with strength training etc. So my question is, what else can he do in this scenario to increase his metabolism?

    • @jonathanngu9058
      @jonathanngu9058 7 місяців тому

      His body fat is maybe 18 to 20%. And wants to get leaner.
