I stumbled across this video as I was looking for the song. I wanted to learn the lyrics because I love the song! I never had anything to do with the language, but since I speak polish, it's really easy to pronounce for me! That video was very interesting!

Lovely! That’s exactly why I created the video, so people could learn more about the song if they liked it at Eurovision 😁

    Such an amazing video!
A great way to get know better not only one of my favourite song this year (along with Croatia and Ukraine) but also a Lithuanian language.
I must say, your language is so melodic, but seems hard to learn for me, who speaks a Slavic language as the first one.
    Greetings from Poland! 🇵🇱
    Dziękuję/Ačiū 😊

Thank you so much for watching and for the nice comment 😊 I was also a big fan of Croatia’s song. I love the Lithuanian language (it is not my language though, I’ve been trying to learn it more or less successfully over the past 3 years😅). It has it difficulties but it’s totally worth it 😁 I have never tried to learn Polish, but the (for me) overwhelming amount of consonants in each word scare me 😄

Oh, I didn't suppose that you're from Germany!
I can speak German, I've learnt it at school by 10 years and also my grandpa was half German, so sometimes we spoke German together.
I've been to Austria, to Vienna, on a trip from school. I can proudly say I spoke German all the time. People thought that I came from Germany.
Anyway, I like learning languages :)

Even for Lithuanian native speaker (me), this video was useful. You just feel which words, case endings, post fixes, prefixes fit into your native language without knowing. It is interesting when somebody explains it from outsider perspective.

As a Latvian, I must say I didn't understand almost anything. Sorry, dear braliukas. I do really like the song, though! Thanks for the video, now I know more! :)

with a huge respect should say it isnt analysis, but nothing more as educative material to learn language on lyrics. As an analysis it should obtain things like "naktis kaip visada"="night like always" sounds almost the same like "naktis kaip visata"="night as universe" what extends the meaning up to infinity

You are correct. It is not an analysis of the song itself but purely an explanation (in English) of the Lithuanian lyrics. But as a title “analysis” sounds better than "educational material to learn Lithuanian". As I said in the introduction, this video is mainly intended for Lithuanian learners.
Someone more qualified than me could probably go the extra mile and offer a more poetic analysis of the song, as you suggest. Maybe in a year my Lithuanian level will allow me to dig deeper into the metaphorical elements of a song (as you are able to) and legitimately call my video an “analysis”.
Beje, good catch on the “naktis kaip visad/ta” 😉

Ah thank you for this! Not sure why I see this video only now, still very happy I did. A few months ago I have already learned the lyrics, the translation, the double intertwining meaning and to sing Luktelk which I've done more than I can remember. But now you helped me realize that my pronunciation and especially the accent are way off 😂 You might have helped me fix if I manage to unlearn a couple of mistakes 😅 Pleasure watching and listening to you 😊

@@amandamadaci7797 Thank you for your nice words, and glad I could help.
I’m not the best source when it comes to pronunciation and accentuation, but I try my best 😄 Most of the time even with the wrong accentuation people still understand me 😅
