It means that a lot of us find peace, solace and comfort in your music when there are thousands of other things that could give us solace. I’ve been a fan since I first heard maybe they will sing for us. I have done drugs to your music. I listened to your music the day my wife died from cancer and your music played at her wake. There’s no one else out there that makes sounds come together that will bring tears to my eyes the way yours does especially now that I too have intertwined loss of love with it. This new album is a nice release to the sunlight and will be lovey for spring.
Your music never made me sleepy -- it takes me on a trip through the galaxy.
As a fan of you guys for 10+ years, I can confidently say this album is incredible. Each time I listen to it, I find something new I really enjoy.

I love hammock
One of my favorite moments on the record is in the last few measures of Release, we’ve been building up throughout the whole song and one of the final additions to the crescendo is we get these big, boomy, echoey snare hits (or whatever percussion it might be idk) on 2 and 4 that seems to spread across eternity, ooooo boy. And then silence
The new album is a masterpiece. I struggle to find the words about how much Hammock means to me.

Love In The Void is my album of the year, with Slowdive's "Everything Is Alive" coming in at #2 and Peter Gabriel's I/O approaching #3. When I was at the Slowdive concert this month, I was wearing a Hammock shirt and strangers at the show came up to me just to tell me that they too were Hammock fans. Love In The Void has helped get us through a pretty tough year and I just want to say thanks for creating this piece of art that manages to answer the question of how to find grace within the chaos of the world. LITV is the sonic manifestation of a roller coaster ride of emotions we've all been on recently.
I've been listening to Hammock for about 10 years. I remember to this day swapping my guitar with high-gain pickups for a medium/low-gain one so I could compose things like the ones Hammock creates. It was the melody of this band that made me understand that I didn't need to play super fast, but rather make those who hear me feel something, whatever that person needs to feel.
"In the midst of impermanence there's still this thing that breaks forth. Wether it's love, random acts of kindness, or music."
I'll use this, I'll use this to make my days better.
What is incredible about your music is the drama and epic scope you encapsulate but always with a defining amount of restraint

I’m work a pretty stressful (multi hat) job, and I’m in the gym 10 hours a week, as well as firefighting when I can find time to volunteer. This music helps me concentrate and chill out better than anything I’ve ever listen to.

That’s not true, Hammock. I have always loved your music.
I never tried, tempted, or even felt like sleeping while listening to your music. When l listen to your music, it’s always on a travel road, a 700 mile road, leaving my family back, to go to the city that I work at and make a living in. The feeling of that is always sad and disgusting. It’s a job I push myself into so that I can provide for the family that I have left behind, and the existential angst of that is perfectly incapsulated by your music. It is what I listen to when I’m on those roads.
I have been listening to you since 2006. You were a great companion of mine, so keep the magic.

I really love the new album. Your drummer performed wonderfully. The song Love in the Void comes to mind. It can be difficult playing that slow (and it’s gotta be one of the slowest tempo songs I’ve heard from you), but he pulled it off. The last five songs of the album are truly spectacular.
