I've had a pixel for 6 years now. This is probably the second time within those 6 years where it actually feels like a huge upgrade. I know there's no charger with these but at LEAST the price of the phones themselves kind of reflect that. I mean starting at $599 is pretty brilliant.

well i think google would want people to get the 5A then upgrade to a 6A i imagine we will see a 6A probably summer next year to fulfil that smaller phone gap at cheaper price (450 or maybe 499)

Apple start with this because they want to sell extra accessories like the Magesafe. For they get rid of the 3.5mm jack to sell Airpods and adapters. All other companies laugh on them at first and then imitate them. 🤦🏻♂️
I watched this whole video just to see the top of the 6 Pro from 11:26 - 11:36! I was really curious how it looked on the dark pro and also the silver Pro, but I'll be getting that delivered eventually from T-Mobile! $450 off for an S9 I just bought for $120! Pretty good deal Still feel tempted by the Gold 6 Pro, but it's not my thing. I have a white 4 XL and love it. And honestly, I'm still sad they didn't put that coral on a Pro phone! Pro phones don't have to be boring! Google has proven that before. The green maybe wouldn't have sold well on the 6 Pro, but I actually wanna get it for my parents with the exact same deal from T-Mobile, except I'd rather pick it up in store and I'll probably only get the option of grey.
I love everything except for the underscreen fingerprint scanner and the curved screen because finding screen protectors that work is a pain in the ass!
I hear ya! I have an LG G8 with a curved screen and it was hell to find a good protector with full adhesive and not just around the edges (those pop off and get dust under them AFTER application). I ended up with a Zagg protector, specifically made with the curve in mind and full adhesive. The application itself is nerve wracking, but comes out perfect in the end. Let's hope they will make one for the Pixel 6 Pro as well.

From Google: “The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro can capture HDR video at up to 4K60p using its HDRnet technology to pull the most dynamic range possible from the sensors. It also offers 240 frames per second recording at 1080p.” I believe Live refers to the Tensor chip and AI capabilities of onboard processing.
@@sneat2028 Ive seen those articles and again it does not talk about HDR in the same sense as HDR10. Its Google's own "HDR" method. I guarantee you the metadata in the video files will be 8-bit rec.790 which is definately not HDR10 compliant.

Security and OS updates are not the only updates included in the guarantee, and the time frames are "at least" and could even extend longer.
Google has always done a great job in catering to consumers who don't want a large screen phone. I don't feel that way with this year's release of the Pixels. How do they feel in hand compared to last year's 5?
How cool if Google decided to go shock factor and include a removable battery, headphone jack, memory card slot and include the charging brick in the box with room to increase the price by $100 dollars from the original low price. That would have been amazing !
Headphone jack, memory card slot and fast charger all would have been possible and I totally agree they could've done it! But I think you're crazy if you think any major phone maker is gonna compromise waterproofing on a flagship phone just to include a removable battery. There's lots of excellent repair shops that can replace your battery for most flagship phones anyways!

I have a Pixel 3XL (the best phone I've owned) and skipped purchasing the 4 & 5 BUT just ordered the Pixel 6PRO...it looks awesome and with Google's Tensor chip will probably be awesome! If anyone has received any of the new phones please let me know what you think

Yeah, all 6 Pro models have mmWave 5G whether a carrier model or unlocked, but only certain carrier models of the regular 6 have mmWave. The unlocked model appears to be only Sub-6 5G.

If it's between those two, Pixel 6 no doubt! If it was against a potential S22, or some other current flagships, it's more about preferance and one feature/design/ux etc over another. You get a splitter new flagship phone for "only" 599 with 90Hz, apparently great battery and processor, cool look and so on

That doesn't sound overly restrictive to me. That sounds smart. They could have just waited to send the phones out to reviewers until a week later, but they chose to give them a full week to use it, which ensures a thorough review and not a rushed one based on a few hours of use. I think that works to the advantage of all involved, including the reviewer and the consumer. 🤷♂️

Pixel 6 weight 207g and has 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm. iPhone 13 weights 174g and has 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm. Pixel 6 is way thicker too, not only bulkier and heavier. Google used to have the most compact smartphones (non XL lineup). Not anymore.

Not true on the 512gb variant, the black one is available at Verizon. Earlier all colors had the 512 variant available.
