The first counter removed has 4/x+4 chance of being picked. So that would be the first trial. Hence, the next probability being 3/x+3 as that is the probability of the pulling a red AFTER a red has been picked. Adding up to two taken
Thank you so much for the help!! I wish I revised a couple days before but I've got statistics mock tomorrow (year 11) and now I feel a bit more refreshed and ill probably watch this at break or lunch. Thank you again :)))
Shreyas Nigam Absolutely! Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/o9VuZhCqR2U/v-deo.html there is also a crossover video in the description that covers all of the grade 4/5 topics 😁🙏🏻
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor Sir can you make a combination of the hardest math questions ever asked for each topic. This will be very very useful for us, students! I heavily rely on your channel. Please sir, do us this favour. So that we higher tier students know how to tackle those difficult questions. Pleae sir, it is a humble request. Thank you very much!!!!!!!
For that last question, you didn't need to do that much work for it, all I did was see that we r trynna find the probability of 2 blue counters. So u can now assume that the 2 counters that you picked r blue, so 1/3 is The same as 2 counters. So to find 3/3 you just multiply 2 by 3 which is 6, meaning X=6
Thanks for the video at 16:02 dont you have to times both by two so that 262 is your final answer because you could pick either one first so there are two possibilities of the order of how you pick each pair? I'm not sure if this made sense.
Hey, I don’t really understand why we needed to add all the expressions together and make them equal to 22, since 22 is just for people who like only 2 so why would it equal everything added together? Someone please explain 25:09
I have a question if anyone could answer I would really appreciate at minute 34.04 in the tree diagram at the bull counters section why hasn't he change the denominator to x + 3 as he did for the other and instead he kept it the same to x + 4
the denominator is x+4 as that it the first pick so the bag would be full, then it becomes x+3 in the second pick since he has removed one counter from the bag in the first pick.
If we are managing to pick only blue colours , then why the decrease in the number of red counters?? We started from 4(red), and we're still going to have these 4(red) until we actually pick a red counter. Am I wrong in something? Someone to elaborate pls? 🙂
Good video as usual. I would like to draw your attention to time 6:26 part C . The numbers 1,9,15 are not within S & E why did you include them to 1/15 . Should the intersection not be 1/12 , being one number out of the 12 numbers within the range S & E .
Can you do conditional probability please? I would also like to thank you for helping me so much in maths. My grade has gone from a grade 5 or 6, to a grade 8 or 9. The funny thing was that the first time I used you, I received a grade 9 and I got the highest in my class. Keep it up and I hope you reach a million subscribers because you deserve it!

In the last question, we have taken (only!) two blue counters, but at the end we have the number of the reds decreased from 4 to 3. Is it not supposed to stay the original 4 since we have only taken the 2blue ones?
dont simplify because the demoninater is the quantity of an item. For an example if i had 6 cupcakes and i ate 3 you cant simplify because if u did that would mean i ate 1 cupcake and started of with 2.

in 34:07 why the probability of taking the second blue counter after taking blue is x-1/x+4 but not x-1/x-3?
he made a mistake
why would it be x-3? I thought it'd be x-1/x+3
For that last question, you didn't need to do that much work for it, all I did was see that we r trynna find the probability of 2 blue counters. 20% = 12

13:36 can i just say it is 1/6, or are you not allowed to simplify the probability

It doesn’t specify that 2 blue ones were taken
can someone explain me 7:57 where do we get that 0.8
well we cant leave it as a fraction, it must always be 1 so 1 - 0.2 = 0.8 which is the remainder to make a whole
