I wonder if the test on gas valve ohm reading tells only that circuit is complete but dosent nessesarily mean it will hold a solenoid open? I dont really know how they work but it seems that the ohm test will tell you it either fails (open circuit) or that it might be good. a good test none the less but I think that ohms testing good is non conclusive. any thoughts on that ?
@@jeffreyplumber1975 yeah jeffery it is nonconclusive. I always test them anyway just looking for a reading that’s out of spec, but it honestly hasn’t helped me that often because it can check out in spec and then not work or it can be out of spec and still work so it’s kind of useless, I suppose it could’ve been the circuit but I did try A Circuit Board but I just changed it out and got me out of there- Thanks again as always for watching and commenting - I appreciate it. The reason I do that test that is based on a video that I saw from Bradford White. I think it’s in my recommended viewing videos on my channel page that shows them performing that task and they explain it a little bit better than I do.
