the addition of a drummer was your best move
saw them in 2015 at pitch in amsterdam, didnt know them by then, but i was totally hooked by their live set. Great guys, great music.
That last point he made about recording everything and being positive when collaborating and then decide later if some of it gets thrown out, sounds so obvious when he puts it like that, yet i know from experience how easily it can go the other and like he says , nothing gets done at all. Better to make a load of stuff that's not good and doesn't get used than not make anything at all. The latter will destroy your enthusiasm and love for producing.

@@j.t2548 an old dutch comedy duo who mainly re-dubbed movies, and they also made skits. Their videos are still quoted a lot by 20-35 year olds here in The Netherlands

so right everything has been done a hundred time before, sorry guys but everything sounds like 100,000 other records, it is therefore pointless and vanity only to collect old gear.
How does similar sounding music make collecting old gear 'pointless and vanity'?
The sound of a violin has been the same since ages, and yet people are still composing new music for it.
All this old gear is nothing more than instruments from another time. Just because the instruments are the same doesn't mean the record is going to sound the same. Originality does not depend on timbre alone.
Daniel.. Could you please show me the original things you produce with your original instruments ?.. I love listening to new things.
