5:59 The keyboard brightness (KB) function can easily be added to Control Center (CC). Just go to CC in Settings, scroll down to More Controls, and add the KB function to Included Controls. IMO, it’s not much of an inconvenience to access KB via CC.
Some nice tips and tricks I wasn’t aware of it. Thanks for sorting it out. I guess I will check later again, as there are many of them and I haven’t remembered them all…
Hello Eddie! Thank you for what I would call the defacto keyboard features & tricks video! I always learn something when I watch your videos! And at my age, sometimes I re-learn them! 😅 I often use Command + L in Safari to type in a URL as it would highlight the current url in the current tab and allow you to type in a new one. I find it often handy as I would Command + to open a new tab and if the URL field is not active, Command + L will activate it and either allow you to type in a new URL or completely highlight the existing URL and allow you to type over it and enter a completely new website. Cheers! 🥂
There is an easier way to change your keyboard brightness. You can add it to control center and now you can change your keyboard brightness from any app.
I think that the new Logitech keyboard is far better, of me at least. Why? Well, easy to separate the iPad from the keyboard to use the camera and use the pencil.
Great video. I learned a lot. When I press and hold the cmd key I don’t get that list of the keyboard shortcuts available for the app. Sometimes a list appears for a fraction of a second but alas quickly disappears while still holding the key..😢 any suggestions on how to fix?
Hi. How do I enable emojis for comments on Instagram messaging? My globe key will not enable emojis. If I were to take the iPad off the magic keyboard, I can get access to emojis but I don’t want to keep removing my iPad to get an emoji. In Settings General, Keyboard has emojis in green “on”. Thank you!
I also take the tablet off and put the bottom just below the keys and pull the back forward to adjust the tilt which creates a nice little stand in bed.
I need some help with my magic keyboard. I found the setting where I could slide the brightness of the keyboard up or down, but if I'm in an environment that's even slightly bright, it wont't let me turn it up, it won't let me move the slider. I restarted my ipad, reconnected to the magic keyboard but still doesn't work. Have anyone else encounter this issue? Do you know how to fix this? I have the M4 ipad and the latest magic keyboard.
My mother-in-law is 97 and has had an iPad for the past 15 years. She also has an iPhone but just for phone calls. She uses the iPad throughout the day, texting, google searches, email, movies, youtube, etc.
I'm not quite 80 (77) and ordered a new iPad Pro to go along with my iPhone 15 Pro. I usually upgrade my iPad's every 2 to 3 years and my iPhone yearly. I have been a Apple Fan Boy since 1987, so you can tell I'm hooked or addicted to Apple/Mac products.
Well, my mother in law had both an iPhone and iPad (non pro version); my uncle is 85 and he has an iPhone, iPad AND a MacBook Air. And he uses them all. Frankly, considering your writing, they probably get more from their smart devices than you do.
Pinch to zoom on the UA-cam app for full screen does not seem to work for me
It looks to be a UA-cam bug.
Sameeee
It like goes to the left when on stage manager, than when I pinch to zoom it goes back to default view and goes back to the left.
You have to click down on the touch pad when you do it
@@derwinevans6751 thank you so much!!!

@@enriqueramos1921 what a great tip
The trick about making UA-cam full screen and small screen doesn’t work for me. I just get a small notification that reads “Original”. 🤔
Hmm, if I do that gesture on the screen it works but not on the trackpad. Is there something wrong with my trackpad?
@@alikahaei9305 nope, mine also acts like that as well. My work around is to click and drag up.
You have to click the trackpad when you do it and it will work
I’d love to know what size of this iPad Pro? Thank you 😀
11 inch
Thanks for the tips! Loving my new iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard!
Does your ESC key work? What apps does the ESC key work with?
Go to control center and is a short cut for the brightness
thanks bro i just got my keyboard!!!😆

Hi, very informative. But TAB+CMD+Q isn’t closing the open apps
Emoji doesn’t work at least w the other languages i need activated. The angle of access is horrible, turn it upside down is a useful hack tho, thx
Awesome stuff. Does the trackpad work with sidecar now? That’s my biggest pet peeve with apple’s $$$ keyboard
Like you tips ...but did not like the out of focus spots that kept appearing 😮
You mentioned the escape key at the beginning but I don’t remember hearing you say what it does…
This is the 11 or 13 inches?
Anyone know the charging speed of the Magic Keyboard?
At 8:23 you can see the speed adjustment
40watts

Mate can I use my previous keyboard with the new iPad?
The previous Magic Keyboard is not compatible with the new iPad Pros. Alas.
Yes, possible with a tweak. i made a video.
There are exercises you can do to strengthen your tongue.
Too much stuff to remember.
A curious question: Are there people over eighty years of age who are very elderly people who own modern smart phones?!؟

To answer both questions, yes and yes.
Yes, my mom is in her upper 80’s and has both an iPhone and an iPad. She loves her iPad.
