Careful with talking about hiding cash income. IRS can audit your books 3 years later and you are confessing to hiding cash income on video which is very illegal.

I have a lifetime experience sealing. At age two i was on jobs with my dad and feet stuck in crack filler, fell forward and hands stuck in crack filler too. Full time on summer breaks and weekends from school at age 13 to 17. Was the seal machine operator at 14 because I was better than the foreman and other 3 dudes with it. I was the main second coat spray guy. 4 of us knocked out 86 driveways in a condo association in 2 days only because they split it into 2 days. Both days we were done by 2pm. Any new guys to sealing, I never heard this fella say a word about mixing with water and adding sand and additive so the sealer has some texture and some flex on hot days. Additive is a latex to create that flex. I’ve sealed 20,000 gallon jobs, 60,000 gallon jobs, 2 gallon jobs, mansions with marble between the asphalt and concrete. Some people use masking tape along concrete and asphalt or marble and asphalt but you learn by doing and don’t need that ish. Don’t need a chalk line at the end of the driveway to make a sharp crisp line where it meets the road, you can eyeball it over time and purrrfect. But what he did say that doesn’t make sense to me and it’s a wish and a prayer… your not going to have 10 driveways a day everyday. You schedule jobs around that area so their not too far apart and knock out 4 or 5 or 10 or 20 or whatever. But then u might wait a week or two or three to get enough in another area that aren’t too far apart and knock those out. Your not gonna do 5 a day if your running all the way across town like here, from grovecity to sunbury to hilliard to Whitehall to groveport. You can do it but u wanna wait til u have more than one in one area like 20min apart at most so u can bang em out and then schedule another part of town when u have more than one and bang em out.

If your a real professional you wont ever have a claim. You carry neutralizing chemicals and have zero issues. Still carry insurance but thats not an excuse to be unprofessional. Sadly most sealcoaters from 5 million dollar outfits down are no different than gypsies, the sealer job quality and durability is trash.

I had to chime in when he said it becomes very hard to teach yourself to save money.. this is so true. I ran a few online stores and was doing SMMA as well. I started making decent money but at the time it was totally new.. yea I ran those stores and my SMMA company into the ground due to over spending and having too much fun when I technically didn't have that money. I'm restarting now with a new venture but point is.. he's SO right about spending more money and needing to realize that and stop yourself bc you WILL run your business into the ground

@@XPLAINMYNAME at first I started out mainly focusing on real estate agents and agencies doing online and social media marketing such as ads and what not. This was mainly when covid hit and the initial hit on the market took place and slowed a bit before the big ramp up. And also for small restaurants. That was all for the SMMA. All the advertising and what not I learned through courses and running my own stores and online platforms and growing them for about 3 years before moving to SMMA

He didn't say anything wrong when he said gypsies. Gypsies come thru Richmond, VA every sealcoating season and like clockwork there will be a news report where someone will get ripped off by some out of towner/gypsy that they paid too much (in some cases thousands) for sealcoating or paving that's shitt work and afterwards when the person has paid the gypsy (sorry dude don't be soft about it) they are nowhere to be found and won't return phone calls. It is what it is.
This guy talks like a seasoned vet of sealcoating that's only been in the business for 2 years. I've personally been in it longer than that and I'm learning stuff from him that I should have been doing loooooooonnnnngggggg ago. Keep it up you and you company will go far.

@@804video5 basically proves my point. You have no proof that the person doing work is Roma/Gypsy. Just every year people roll through your town, and they must be that ethnicity, listen to what you’re saying it’s ridiculous. Dollars to donuts it’s another ethnicity, but the Roma people always get the blame up and down the East Coast. This has been going on for generations.
. I’m not saying that gypsies haven’t committed some of these acts, I know they have but to get the blame on all of it is wrong when it could be done by travelers, Irish, Italian, Jewish, African, whatever you want to say.
