That bass is awesome. I bought it in 2019 and still great sound and reliable on everything ( I had a precision but couldn't afford one by that time). You or no one has to replace tuning pegs, I recently took a break playing it because my love is the acoustic. After almost 3 months left it in tune, decided to practice a little bit with and guess what? The bass still at 440 in all strings, don't usually do this but that proves tuning machines are as good as any other from Fender. I'm looking forward to replace pick ups for better ones but will be about it; it's set up nicely on neck and strings high; I love this bass

also by the way you play the bass i can tell your more of a guitar player but it definitely gives your playing style uniqueness and i like it

Awesome stuff . I have the exact same bass but I changed the pickups to the Aguilar pj pups, and a hi mass bridge and neck to a fender p maple with pearl block inlays I made at the time I worked at fender before I retired
Now I have 2 legit fender basses and my p bass compliments my elite jazz bass

He's actually much better than many reviews on here that consider themselves good bassists. I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Of course everyone can stand to improve in some way.
Saw your Mustang PJ video, that's a smashing instrument, well done! If you still have this one you're doing good, the Chinese ones are often better than the Indonesian ones.
Get a bone or Tusq nut, replace the saddles with AllParts threaded nickel steel ones and the sad ceramic pickups for the DiMarzio DP126 set or the Relentless set if you're really rocking out. DiMarzio ought to make a set based on their 60s split coil but they might suggest a combo. If you can do the nut yourself you're in for $200. Get good Gotoh vintage style tuners and you're in for $300 and you'll have a gig-able bass that matches that paint job.
Black black is pretty trad for a rosewood fingerboard, red torties usually landed on black/maple. How 'bout 3 ply mint green?
Oh yeah, and DR Legend flat wounds, $40 more but they last 10 times as long as rounds.

There is no need to remove the Squier label from the headstock. You don't remove the Honda, or Chevy or Toyota trademark!!! That bass is a Squier made in China, nothing wrong with that!

Fender 7250 NPS 045/105 are on it.
Nice vid! Was wondering how did you remove the "Squier" logo? Did you sand down the headstock?
Literally just rubbed it with a polishing compound. Took about a minute and it left no mark like sanding would.

I got it from EBay. It was really simple to apply. It came with detailed instructions and I had no problems.

If you wanted the headstock to say Fender, you should have bought a Fender made in Mexico series!
Removing the decal screams Gear Snob anyone who knows guitars fairly well will know it's a Squire you may tell the truth if asked but if not you are willing to let the casual viewer believe what they may smh
