I tried to watch another video on how to draw a rose and the person doing the tutorial went SO FAST I couldn't even keep up! You were so patient and slow! Thank you so much!
go to the cog wheel open it up and then reduce the speed. I usually reduce it to 75% and if it's one of those set to a fast motion, take it down to 50% and so on.

Also nice you use just a basic pencil and paper. I understand the different pencils and higher quality papers. To make drawing look better. Its nice to see you show a good job can be done with the basics. Dont have to go spend a bunch of money on art supplies.

Im an artist but its been around 10 yrs since ive drawn anything. So this was great. Just to get started again. Getting of feal of things and practice. So you don't really need like those special sketching pencils to shade ?
No, They make it a bit easier but i would use a scratch peace of paper and practice shading techniques and use what you find more comfortable and suiting. you can roll up tissue paper or hand towels to a point and use that to help you blend ( fingers help too ). Remember not to press hard on the pencil on the shaded areas for better blending
I'm super beginner with drawing, but one thing I find that helps is getting a spare pencil and scratching it on a piece of scrap paper a LOT until it makes a really flat surface, then use that for shading. It makes the flat part super dull so you won't get any sharp lines

Very easy method to draw a rose .I have seen many videos but confusing, this is much easier,I'll try it.
Please quit selling yourself short. Your commentary is fabulous your voice is comforting and honey I'm legally blind I'm blind in both eyes called detail vision so if I was to look at you all's I would even see is your left eyeball. And you taught me how to make one and I shared it with my granddaughter who definitely is an artist now my daughter is excellent at Art. But she does those oh they're not S&M girls or nothing like that but just that she can do people she doesn't do she doesn't do flowers she can do people and animals but she she doesn't like drawn flowers so you are fabulous I have been sharing you and I am excited and I hope that you keep videos coming I don't know when you put these on here I don't know how I ended up with you. But I am certainly happy that I did and I'm excited to move on to the next step I'm working on mine I take pictures of it and send it to my granddaughter to see if it's like if it's supposed to look like it's supposed to look like because I see things wrong I see detail things but it's all sideways so when they come in my house my daughter goes through and straightens my pictures but they look crooked to me so I go and make them crooked and she comes back and I I don't know it's just a division thing. And walking to the side of a barn but I can see the needle in the haystack. I used to anyway now everything is getting blurry damages in my brain I had a stroke so everything is going all end up completely blind but until then I'm learning thank you and God bless you
