Guys, I just wanted to share this with you - every time I listen to your espresso hour, it boosts my motivation 📈. Everything (writing, creating digital products, marketing, running the processes, etc) seems more manageable, less complicated, and doable. Appreciate your content, keep it coming

Run that marriage like a championship team: know & own your role (physically & emotionally), support & hype each other’s roles, solve disputes honestly & quickly, and above all, MAKE IT FUN!

The point about "everything is trainable" is spot on. Additionally, understanding the 'Feedback Loop' concept is crucial for entrepreneurs. It's about making small, continuous feedback-based improvements that can significantly enhance your skills and business processes.

My foster parents' marriage taught me that walking away from heated conversations is the best way to calm down both parties to reasonably sort things out. Only one person has to do it but both are benefitted. You don't need this advice now Cole but many years later you might.

Here are my top 6 takeaways from this wholesome episode
    Takeaway 1 2:18
The goal of a new year's resolution is to implement a process that will inadvertently lead to a desired change. Real change is a marathon not a sprint.
Actionable tip: Chop up and spread your goals over a realistic period of time
    Takeaway 2 3:40
The curriculum of a digital info product is essentially a pitch of an idea, if you want them to implement with little friction you have to eliminate all their belief objections that would stop them from doing it at first (that's their bottleneck)
Actionable Advice: Don't neglect the WHY'S of your info product
    Takeaway 3 17:3
Everything is trainable but trainability is on a spectrum and some are more difficult to train. Most people confuse the idea of training people to do their delegated task for replication (no one can do it the way you do)
    Takeaway 4 23:17
Repetition is a necessary recipe for success.
Most people are just a fixed number away from repeating a particular boring task to achieving a set goal
Actionable tip: allow the path to compound
    Takeaway 5 27:44
It's hard to stop a team when everyone has an aligned incentive.
Actionable Tips: Find ways to give everyone a trajectory (a purpose to hold on to)
Find ways to allow people share in your wins.
Tie those incentives to the kind of work culture you want to build
Congrats Cole on your new adventure
Coming from a son whose dad has had 3+ marriages
    This isn't a tip it's a philosophy
If you can sincerely find ways to put each others well-being above yourselfs you're in for the long haul

Marriage advice I learned in year 4 that has helped me tremendously the last 10 years…
    1. Decide who I want to show up as in my marriage.
    2. Be mindful of the things that are “easy” for me to do, but aren’t the “right” things to do according to who I decided I want to show up as.
    3. Learn to let go of (and replace) beliefs and behaviors that are keeping me from being who I decided to be.
    4. Align my inputs and actions with who I decided I want to be.
    5. Reflect on the meanings I’m giving our experiences.
    6. Model what the best version of myself (and others) would do and not do in situations.
Marriage can be one of the best personal growth accelerators (like entrepreneurship, parenting, etc.) if you let it.
I’m sure you’ll do great! Congrats!

Advice? Learn personality type dynamics (in whatever model resonates with you) so you know some of the intrinsic triggers and desires and why they clash or gel with yours.

For smooth sailing, consider adding one more focus area.. expectations. So often, this is where disappointment and all sorts of friction, but also enthusiasm and confidence, come from. And it links directly with mindset and accountability.

Welcome to the marriage club Cole! Here’s a good tip that has served me well: never go to bed upset with your partner (or when they’re upset with you). Don’t let sh*t linger!

I think the best advice on marriage is that unmarried people (me) shouldn't give any advice on it. Here are my takeaways from the video:
[20:36] The best educational content addresses both skill and belief, helping students overcome objections and limiting beliefs that may prevent them from taking action.
[21:40] Everything is trainable, but some things are harder to train than others. It's important to identify which parts of a task or role can be delegated or replicated.
[23:10] Building a successful business requires repeating yourself an uncomfortable number of times, both in your products and in communicating with your team.
[26:06] Suboptimal parts of your business should excite you because they represent opportunities for growth and improvement.
[27:45] Aligning incentives and allowing team members to share in the upside of the business's success can create a culture of high performance and entrepreneurial thinking.
[35:30] You can improve something quickly by making one small improvement every day, using a process of morning meetings to identify action items and closing the loop in the evening.

I know it's not the first thing you think of when you think marriage, but don't make your future kids your therapist. That's not their job. Also don't talk smack about your spouse.
