- This is a short video for those who are stuck in the tower in Desmond's vision of Altair. This is for the PC version, but it works for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version as well.

Probably the hardest moment of the whole franchise.
😂 Not really. It's hard, but AC Brotherhood has an Animus VR free-run training course that has to be completed within 40 seconds to get the gold medal. I tried so many times, but missed it by just 1 second. It's LITERALLY PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to complete it within 40 seconds.

But if you know the controls it's the easiest moment in the whole franchise. R1 + X without pressing forward.

@@BrickTemplar welcome. I feel it was a bit of a developer oversight. As far as i know this is the only moment in the entire franchise where jumping on the spot is ever used and required to progress. Probably should have added in a hint.

Another solution for PC players: Knock off the lamp, jump on the ledge facing the door and press jump+high profile facing the pole. Don't choose a direction (W, A, S, D).

For pc user: place in the middle, hold high profile first then hold jump (space) then release the space only, desmond will jump

Easier way to do it. Climb up the wall on either side of the beam and then jump to the right or left onto the beam when you’re at the highest point. The added jump gives you extra height than it usually would if you just tried to climb up directly under the beam.

I love that glitching lantern. In my case it started spinning hella fast around the entire tower. It was funny.
And I was like "I'm gonna catch you weird person and we're gonna fight! Altaïr, get your sword rea... oh no, not this one... so it's your wife..."

I remember playing this part for the first time when I was 12. Had to get my dad to figure this out. First time he opened my eyes to some of the parkour mechanics in this game. Never needed his help again after he taught me that

Climbing should be like this again. The newer games allow you to climb whatever and where ever you want. It should be thought out on where on a wall or tower is climbable.
I agree with you but definitely not with this jump in particular, i shouldn't need to watch a yt video to know how to make 1 jump
@thoughtoflegend1761 This jump is literally the easiest thing ever with a side eject, the problem here is that this is the only jump in the entire game were a side eject is required, and the game never explains that mechanic to the player.

I still love using the wall ejects whenever I can in assassin creed games.
Just sorta wish there wasn’t as many things that made it pointless or even slower than normal in the newer games but even in AC2 I commonly used ejects as it was faster and boosted my massive ego.

This part is awesome. Even when you press Esc, which leads you to the menu ofc, it follows the same format as that of AC 1.

Ngl it’s incredibly easy, run up the wall and jump to your left/right depending on which side of the wall you ran up. Just angle the camera to go that way. I’m not even trying to brag, I remember they did a tutorial for it either in the catacombs or in a mission just before that so I knew exactly what I needed to do. Never skip the tutorials kids.
I remember, it was taught in a catacomb in southern venice. So it is after this level

I've played every AC game except Rogue, with Prince of Persia before AC, and I got stuck on this. It's the only hard part in an easy franchise.
If I want challenge I'll play a From Software game, don't have any left though.

You need to look up when standing in front of the beam and then jump this way you will climb every time.
Doing this in october 2023. When you're on the edge of the "balcony" facing the tower, don't press any direction, just press Right Trigger + A button on the XBox controller (on PC).

@@haltocarrick5504 weirdly, you dont learn any of the techniques required for this. You never need to jump from standing position so its assumed you always have to run forward to climb. Neither is the "advemced wall jump" required until this point. Im sure the high jump is the intended move here but neither first nor secobd gamr ever tought you that its possible

I’ll never forget being stuck on this for so long I had to have my friend to come over for a sleepover to figure it out cause he had just finished the game when we are both 9. GOD this was incredibly hard but seems like a legit oversight by the developers in hindsight.

U guys if you're really having a hard time trying to reach for the ledge i got u....u just have to stand on the edge facing the ledge and then instead of pressing "W" just click the right mouse button with the space button....it will work from the first time 😙👌
