Ahh, I can't begin to tell you how much we've missed you! I do follow you on Instagram but it's not the same....watching your videos is like I'm chatting with a friend. But of course your health comes first...I've been dealing with thyroid for close to 12 years now, and what I've learnt is to give the body some time to recuperate. If you need that time off, then take it. Wishing you a wonderful year ahead....we are all here and we love you!
Ashley, I struggle with a slow thyroid and had to find a doctor who specialized in thyroid as well. Makes a world of difference and I am feeling much better these days! Hang in there! Love your videos and you look amazing as always☺️
My 13 year old was diagnosed with Hashimotos toxicosis last year and it’s been so hard. Never knew how much the thyroid controlled in the body. I sure hope you feel good soon.
I wanted to send you a word of encouragement about your health. I found your channel about 5 years ago when I was struggling with health issues connected to my thyroid. Your channel was a bright spot for me in that dark time. After finding a good doctor and learning a lot I have felt good again for quite some time. I hope you feel back to your old self soon! I took a solo trip to Vienna last month and the gardens at Schonbrunn were (obviously) totally empty--it's amazing to see your photos there with all the flowers in bloom! It makes me want to go back in warmer weather! I made 2 great purchases in advance of my trip: the beautiful Bixby coat from Burton (so comfortable, packed surprisingly small, looks flattering on) and the Sorel Ainsley Chelsea boots (they're waterproof, super sturdy for walking in rain/snow, and look adorable). Wishing you a happy and healthy 2019.

Yay an Ashley video! I’m determined to get started with YNAB. I need to take control of money and budgeting. I also have hypothyroidism. It can be frustrating finding someone to help you. My approach was to research it and become an expert. Thankfully my doc worked with me to get my levels where I felt best. And that also aided in weight loss.

Ashley! I can completely relate. I had gained over 60 pounds in a short period of time. Probably something to do with being stressed from work, a cancer recurrence scare, terrible acne for months after I stopped hormonal birth control... I just didn’t feel positive or confident enough to be in front of the camera. I’m finally feeling more like myself again but it took a while. Health stuff can be difficult but I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Be patient and kind to yourself. You look beautiful! I love personal finance podcasts. Definitely a topic that’s not discussed enough but is so important. Never heard about Billie, but I’ll look into the product.

When you said you didn't feel like yourself I could so relate. This past year I've felt horrible. I'm 10 years past menopause but was still struggling w/ hot flashes, weight gain, mood swings, depression and my brain was just gone. But in the fall I consulted a functional medicine doctor, found an acupuncturist and began working w/ Dana LaVoie, who has a channel here on YT. All three said the same thing: start w/ food to balance the hormones, if you're still struggling we can add in herbs and finally, HRT if needed. Today, no more hot flashes, my brain is sharp and the depression has lifted. And I did it by incorporating foods into my diet that balanced my hormones! Happy New Year to you and wishing you much success in getting your health back on track!!

I have actually been struggling with my thyroid and hormonal imbalances recently too and the book Period Repair Manual by Lara Briden has been so fundamental in understanding what is going on with my body and eventually getting a diagnosis! Her website has really great information too. Unfortunately most endocrinologists are way behind the current research on thyroid and hormonal conditions. I will be seeing a naturopath doctor soon. I've been dealing with hypothyroidism for 7/8 years now and my most important piece of advice is to listen to your body and communicate what you are feeling to your doctor. There is such a large range of "normal" numbers for TSH and T4, but your doctor should also take your symptoms into account in addition to that number. Find a doctor who listens to how you feel instead of saying "oh but your numbers are in the normal range so let's just go with that." Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

Happy New Year! So glad to see you back for a video! I really need to do a great declutter for myself, I keep finding myself feeling overwhelmed at home just by stuff. I love the idea of a vacation photographer, that’s so smart and what great memories. 2018 was good to me - ran my first rundisney race which included by first 10k, discovered Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes, and became Disney annual passholders. I purchased a fujifilm x-t20 in 2018 as well; while it has been a lot of fun, I'm still learning on how to capture the perfect shot. It's my first camera. Would you ever consider doing a video talking about photography?
