- An interactive discussion on the role of modern media in changing people’s views and perceptions. Recently, the Pakistani drama industry has seen a shift in focus on controversial themes which has caused much outrage on social media. Likewise, new content on Netflix and Amazon is not only alarming but is also leaving many in a state of great concern. Is this all pre-planned? Does modern media have the power to manipulate our thoughts, feelings and behaviour? How do we identify good content vs. bad content? Are there any practical alternatives that we can offer to our youth?

I realised the core negetive impact of social media in 2018 and stoped to use FB. After that I amazed to notice that my 'real' social life become more beautiful and connected. Beside that I realized I don't need any virtual world or virtual friends. I am living in a real happy world now Alhamdulillah.

The first slogan in Pakistan which has initiated the change was 'jeo aur jeeny do'. Now after 20 years we can see its impact. We are extremely careless about what is happening in our society. And if someone tries to stop some body then there is a new label 'stop moral policing'. For upcoming generations time is becoming really tough. These days parents need to be like 'qamar kass laini chaye' for tarbiyat.
