Seeing so many comments mentioning other cities that have this issue, makes me think, there's a huge demand for metro and companies should start taking it more seriously.
This happens in the NYC Subway because the GD trains don't show up for half an hour or more during "rush hour" (prepandemic) so everyone is trying to squeeze on.
Why not? Besides it looks better for the metro. At my city theres no platform doors and I always fear that some dude with his head unscrewed might push me on the track just before the train reaches the platform 😨

it's not the station where the passengers are the most, some other stations in shanghai are horrible during the rush hour in the morning.
