Ben thanks for sharing your experience! Would love to hear more about how you selected the schools you decided to apply to along with a GMAT content video like the other commenters have mentioned. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot Ben! Great video as always. Wondering why you didn't include Rareliquid as part of your work experience - I think that would have been really cool for admissions to hear! Best of luck at Wharton - hoping to achieve as much as you one day!
Since you're doing business I would love it if you make videos on entrepreneurship, how to choose a co-founder you can trust, other aspects of business
Helpful, thank you. Applied to MI Ross Online and hoping for interview. This gave me a lot to think about whether I get the interview, or I'm declined and have to try again. I do sense that if I get the interview, it will be mine to gain or lose at that point, depending on how well I interview. Thanks for the pointers.
I am applying for a MSc in Finance in about 9 months. What do you recommend me doing now to maximize my chances of getting in the top universities in London ?(LBS, LSE, Imperial?
Hey Ben, it's great that you're continuing career related videos on this channel. If you don't mind, I wanted to ask do you edit your own videos? If so, how were you able to animate the ending slide and pie chart breakdown? You've inspired me to start creating content!
Regarding Tip #2 on how your application should be a jigsaw puzzle, how did you apply this in your application? What story did your essay say vs you CV/Resume vs your recommendation letters, etc?
in a nutshell, resume included all the stats and specific work responsibilities, essays told my story more personally and expressed my future goals, letters of rec focused on interpersonal skills and the type of person i am
From regional good college in India with average GPA, not bad GRE (Q- top 10%ile and V-low 10% Ile of class), international entrepreneurship experience at an incubator like YC.. Applied for T15 and T25 and all rejects. Now moving for tech program (despite not interested) to not waste opportunity cost
I’m 18 years old and am attending the university of Rochester this fall. A huge concern of mine is how I would be able to land an internship or something related from a firm like J P Morgan. I know the experience would be some of the most beneficial to me and I’m wondering how you were able to find yourself in that position?
Congrats! Your story is similar to mine. I was running a clothing business in my home country; Nigeria before starting my MBA. I got a full scholarship and on my channel i share tips for international students who want to get fully funded MBA. Hope this will be useful for your community as well. Cheers
I was an international student who got their MBA fully funded. Although it wasn't IVY league, I have been networking hard. A friend who did go to an IVY MBA program really struggled to find employment. I believe it's starting to mean less each year where you go to school. True talent reveals itself in the end. Thank you for your hard work with other international students, it's not easy being discriminated against in the USA job market!
Hi Ben, thanks for sharing and congratulations!!!! I would like to know about options that we could choose to afford MBA programs. Is the scholarship hard to apply for? Thank you!!!
Nice video, but i want people to know that because one approach may work for this content creator, doesnt mean that this same approach will work for you. Unlike a lot of grad school admissions, there is a lot of subjectivity that goes into admissions at a top business school program. Your demographics, pre-mba career, years of experience, post-mba career goals, the time you apply, and your story. This is all in addition to your test scores and GPA. While this is great content, please factor everything that was stated into this post in account
Hi Ben, thank you for the great tips! It's also a been a dream of mine to one day attend the business school. I recently graduated from a semi-target uni in the UK. Are there any additional things that someone applying from abroad should take in mind when applying for the Lauder joint degree? And do you believe that your intercultural background and interest in the global business made you a stronger candidate for this program? Also look forward to hear your impressions of the MBA Lauder in the future!
for lauder i think it's super helpful to have an international background so if you're able to weave together a strong narrative explaining why you're interested in doing business across different borders that'll definitely be to your benefit!
Whats your opinion about Temple University. I got into their MBA program...I am excited but it is obviously not Upen... but they are both in Pennsylvania
Hey There! Did you use an admissions consultant when applying to Wharton? Also, do you believe that using an admissions consultant gives MBA applicants an unfair advantage in the candidate pool? I remember hearing from the Wharton school that the TBD interview doesn't really matter -- the school already knows who they want before the interview invites are sent out. The interview just provides another metric for selectivity.
Hello thank you for the great video! I was going to ask , do you think Wharton / other ivy league schools judge where you get your bachelors from when reviewing your application? I am about to start college at UTA because it’s close to where I live and it’s what I can afford at the moment? (University of Texas Arlington)
Hey Ben, I'm thinking about applying in a couple years. Do you think work experience would compensate for a 3.5 range GPA in a tough quantitative program?
Hey do you have any insights on the application program they do for seniors in undergrad? I forget the name of it off the top of my head, but I know as a senior you can do some sort of deferred admission. So you apply your senior year and if you’re accepted you can then attend within 4 years or something like that. For reference I currently have a 3.85 cumulative GPA from PSU, 2 internships, both letters of recommendations, but have not taken the GMAT yet.
I'm curious - and I'm almost certain you didn't mention it - but why would you select to have a letter of recommendation from your fashion partner (something you mentioned in the past as being a dumpster fire) and not your rl partner (which seems far more successful in comparison)? Did the application process come a long time before rl had taken off? Also, I don't think anyone has asked this before, but how are you going to manage doing a Master's and running a business at the same time? 👀 Like, usually folks only have time for one or the other 😅
i started rareliquid after i submitted my apps and my rareliquid co founder is actually the same person as my fashion co founder haha re school + business, i'm not going to spend time recruiting and also going to transition a bit more to streaming / quicker videos so i'll make it work
Why Biz/Creative Writing, now MBA/International etc. for the love or for the status ? I saw a Wharton Start Up class video that was not even as it resting as how to use a paint spray airless Graco. Point being to discuss a decade long track of how to get a footing on let’s say a deep fry safety shield to the public is not interesting. Maybe a multi million dollar need, but in no way interesting. Please be happy and do it for yourself. This video now is excellent! 🎉
Hi Ben, I’m an engineering student at UMD. Don you think there is a way for me to become an investment banker. Love your videos they are of great help. Thanks, Luis

@@rareliquidcareers Okay, thank you very much Ben. Is there a way if you are willing and able we’re we can talk about this? I am willing to pay you if necessary. And again thank you for even responding I highly appreciate it.
yes it's totally fine to major in that and it's actually good because it's technical. you'll want to have finance internships though to show your interest in banking
Not sure if you're okay to share how does a 3.6 GPA rank in UCB for your cohort? My GPA is also at 3.6 (I'm from PKU) now, wondering how competitive this would be.
not sure tbh i think just average but since i'm asian american probably below average since i'm compared against other asians (sad reality of MBA admissions)
This guy has literally framed a stack of notes. Thats really shallow man. If you really enjoyed currency-art then you would have had large scale picture. Materialism will take you nowhere. You should know this as you are from the east. Beware.
Hi Ben, my name is Danny, a class of 2015 Berkeley undergrad. I am currently working as an executive at a public listed company in China. I’m thinking applying for Wharton this year and have some specific questions. Can I get your email address to talk about the specifics? Thank you so much!
What other types of videos about MBA life do you want to see?
I would like to know about affordable colleges for mba in us and how much work exp must before mba
Be like Logan Paul
Can you please share some interview tips? Thank you!
At what age you apply for MBA?
What subjects/courses you study as an MBA student
Hey Ben! See you at Wharton in the fall!!
Ben thanks for sharing your experience! Would love to hear more about how you selected the schools you decided to apply to along with a GMAT content video like the other commenters have mentioned. Keep up the great work!
Awesome stuff. Thank you for sharing the MBA application process!
no problem!
Awesome video for people who are getting started with the MBA application process. Hope to see more soon!
More to come!
Great content! Congratulations on your Wharton journey!
Wow. You brilliantly tied your experience together
Thank you!
Wow i was searching a video about Wharton today and got to this video. Great video!
Glad you liked it!
Hi Ben, could you maybe walk us through your GMAT journey? How you scored 750, what’s are your tips, etc.
sure thing will do
He is really, really smart 🤓!
Hey Ben do you think submitting GRE scores instead of GMAT lessens the strength of the application for an MBA hopeful?
@@maxhilliard3577 yes, unless you have an extraordinarily high GRE score.
Thanks a lot Ben! Great video as always. Wondering why you didn't include Rareliquid as part of your work experience - I think that would have been really cool for admissions to hear! Best of luck at Wharton - hoping to achieve as much as you one day!
i actually started rareliquid after submitting my applications and then deferred school by 1 year so that's why!

this is one of the best videos I have just watched today... thanks for sharing :),...
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome work! Could you do video on how you got that 1% GMAT? I’m currently preparing for the test and have the same score goal.
yup will do
Awesome vlog ❤️ brother really appreciate your hard work
You forgot to mention any connections to big-time donors in your pie chart. 50%! 😉

Hi Ben, thanks for sharing and congratulations!!!! I would like to know about options that we could choose to afford MBA programs. Is the scholarship hard to apply for? Thank you!!!
scholarships are given by schools based on need or merit and most people actually depend on their post-mba jobs to pay for their mba

How can I find the google form?

I would really like to see a video about this topic
will make a video about this later on!
do the college check all the semester results or overall GPA of Undergraduation

Is it possible to get into top MBA programs if one has experiences working in the monistry of finance in South Asian countries?

Hey, I have 760 in GMAT, 2YEARS OF WORK EX AND STILL WORKING, HOW TO GET INTO WHARTON BRO??
What do you think about LBS in the UK?
good school but i dont know much about it
I’ve heard it’s one of the best business schools in the world. Like trailing behind Harvard good. Competition to get in is intense!

a few months
What if we have low gpa how to counter that BTW CONGRATS!!!
then a high gmat score will be important

it's actually harder to get into wharton as an asian lol
Is work exp very important for mba
Yes 100%
hy bro I want to get admission in a good business school just like you Will you as my mentor help me to build my application
GMAT would be my biggest challenge 😂
yeah honestly it was for me too!
Does working on your own startup count as work experience?
yup
I would say your estimates are not accurate.
Pay tons of money for education and they could reject you candidacy? This is ridiculous...too much cockiness from MBA schools themselves
is it necessary to have work experience for MBA? Can i do MBA without work experience?
