    (PLEASE READ )
    There was a error on our part We now know that they are using different cells but still same configuration so you will get roughly the same range on both boards and really when it comes to the cells that are being used. It’s doesn’t really matter there is no point in putting a cell in a board that’s 45amps when the board uses 10 amps from that cell it’s doesn’t make sense! The cells that are in the Evolve are in there because that’s the right cell for that boards power consumption. The battery in the meepo is complete overkill the battery is capable of 180amps yet they are using 70amps max of that battery so it’s complete overkill and has only been used because people don’t understand why evolve is using those cells. You wouldn’t make a Lamborghini with 1000bhp and give it to the customer with 400bhp doesn’t make sense so the cells have been chosen for the board based on the amount of power consumption that particular board is using. Hope this makes sense 👍🏼
    Also regarding the reverse function we know that it has a reverse but you have to actually click button in order to activate it that doesn’t sound like a big deal but is actually a major inconvenience I am using a board with smart reverse this requires no additional buttons to be pressed bringing the board to a complete stop on a hill and hold the brake down with slowly reverse the board meaning no stepping of the board and if you over shoot your stop you can reverse back slowly doesn’t seem like a killer feature but it actually is so handy once you have had it on you board hope this helps 👍🏼

      p42a cells are great but 45amps is a massive inflation in PEVs unless you're trying to buy a new battery every year

    • @blise518B
      @blise518B 2 роки тому +11

      That’s not entirely true. If the cells have more headroom it leads to less voltage sag and more real world capacity. Using cells near their maximum output power will lead to more voltage sag and reduced capacity.

    I just got a Hurricane so I'm clearly team Meepo and this video is frustrating for me. I feel that there are at least a couple misrepresentations / errors that should be corrected in order to be fair (not just blown off in the comments). Meepo uses the good performance battery cells while the Hadean has inferior battery cells . But you stated more than once that "they use the SAME battery cells". You have a strong influence on our community, and in my opinion a responsibility to get the facts straight in the video portions. If you want to maintain your integrity, I think you should make the appropriate corrections to the video itself rather than downplay the misrepresentations in the comments.

    I went from Meepo V3 to Meepo V4 to Meepo Hurricane. I have a little over 2000 miles on the budget boards with zero downtime due to part failures. I have 400 miles on the Hurricane and suffered no downtime but did receive three separate warranty part replacements in the mail. I would suggest that everyone use the chat function on the Meepo website when they have issues instead of emailing them. Also be respectful and clear with your issues. I have found Meepo's customer service to be way better than reported by the internet.
    I don't live in London and I don't have an Evolve service center anywhere near me. How is packaging up an entire skateboard and sending it off in the mail better than getting a part in the mail?
    I started off with the Meepo remote and I love the Meepo remote. I value the adjustability of the brakes and the MEEPO REVERSE FUNCTION I have never wanted anything more. I will acknowledge that a Ferrari has a better steering wheel than a Corvette. I value the fact that if I break or lose my Meepo Remote, for $60 I can have another one within 2 weeks vs the Evolve remote which is three times the cost.
    I live in the US. Since Evolve has storefronts here you have to pay taxes on their online purchases. I could buy two hurricanes for the price of a Hadean plus extra remote. At the end of the day, each one of the Hurricanes will be faster where it matters than the Hadean...

    Good comparison. Saw the Hurricane on sale for 1399 during Black Friday, on an Instagram ad. Went to the website: 1799. Emailed Meepo about it, just got a "You are too late price is 1799 now" email. Saw the same 1399 ad the next 4 days promoted... Went for the Hadean, love it. Had some issues but Evolve Germany solved it fast and gave me some extra goodies. Plus they sent emails days after to check if everything was OK.
    Bought Meepo's Cyclone wheels for the Hadean. After some km's they started to "click". Changed bearings twice to a different - and a new set. Still clicked. Emailed Meepo and they just asked if I had thightened them enough. Yeah like that would be the issue. Evolve adviced to add some grease in there and that fixed it.
    Long story short: Really happy I ended up with my Carbon Hadean.

    Ridiculous comments in this review.. OMG their battery is too good, their motors are too big.. First, the fact is that the molicel p42a is easily the best value for a 21700 battery, it easily outperforms other cells in its category (high-discharge) by a mile and delivers it with a more capacity than most (range) . The closest to it is the Samsung 40t and it comes at price that's about 50% more. Better battery means less voltage sag throughout the use of the pack. Those motors may not be the highest output for their size, but they're still higher watt and will not overheat (ahem.. GTR).. Therefore, you can get consistent performance and riding experience from the pack and the motors from 100% all the way through to the end. C'mon guys the only thing transparent about these reviews is your obvious bias toward evolve.

Landed on its wheels. It still works, but when I got it home I took it apart and found probably 1/4 cups worth of water inside the board. All the seals were installed well, but there was still a fair amount of water that found it’s way inside.

    awesome video again guys. my favorite channel. its funny how some ppl get angry about the truth of experience with these boards. ppl need to stop lookin at JUST price and a spec sheet. i been sayin that since day 1..
    My two cents:
    meepo hurricane is VERYYYYY thick and heavy. both setups are 100% stiff, but u feel its “more stiff” because its much heavier and thicker. i personally dont like that. that leads on to my next opinion. the hurricane rides like a bigger board.. i think thats why u hate the bushings. i feel the board VERY stable for dkp. i did 40mph with it and handled it fine. I do agree the hadean is muchhh smoother and has more initial acceleration. but after about 15mph, it takes off.. the bad part about the hurricane is the trucks. the rear trucks are breaking on a LOT of riders. im on my 3rd set of rear trucks. and im also on my second battery with them. a lot of customers r havin this issue and also having a rattling noise from the rear/bashguard.. now that leads to my next experience input: customer service.. evolve reached out to there customers TWICE about 2 different issues.. where other companies that dont invest with usa customer service, dont even respond when u have a issue. imagine saving 200-800 dollars and then being screwed cuz u cant get your cheaper board fixed.. the usa customer service with 25 retailers with parts in stock is amazing.. technology/features: no other company has a board with a remote with a on board cell diagnostic system WITH this power/range/2 in 1 and with built in lights with over 20 programs and a military grade remote.. no one.. so all this has VALUE. to me, its 100% worth it. if u only value speed and have a smaller budget, the meepo hurricane is a ANIMAL. it beat anything i put it against and ill never sell it.. ending on a postive note, companies are listening to us by finallyyyy creating 2 in 1 FLEX decks withhhh this powrr/range/technology.. just like the bamboo hadean.. iv been sayn a little over a year, 2 in 1 boards are here to stay and in my opinion are the best for eskate 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼💯💯💯
