I'm 38, and growing up I remember Americans having pride, and now most people hate their own country...the opportunity is gone, the pride is gone, and everyone is scrambling to support themselves just to get into what used to be an American right - home ownership. You are right, things need to change and we need to stop giving out money to other countries. We can't afford it.

I'm literally going on the same ride with you, this has been the year that both myself and my business really got shit together and started taking off. I'm already in the process of becoming a distributor as well as an installer, as no one is currently wholesaling central vac materials, especially the tubing for it in the area. None of the other large installers who order in huge quantity are interested, but my goal is to flat out sew the market up in my area.

I am in Northeast TN and our area was hit hard especially in Unicoi County (Erwin, TN). My house in Johnson City was luckily fine. Had some small damage to a window, some broken outdoor chairs, and some shingles got damaged on my roof, but luckily nothing serious. Where I live we even kept our utilities.
My parents out in Greeneville only have 1 bridge left to get out to their property that didn't fall. During the storm they were cut off because the last standing bridge they thought was going to fail, so they blocked it off at the spillway, but luckily it didn't. It is open now. Several bridges around the area have been washed out. Multiple bridges on the 107 and 107 cutoff, highway 26 at Jackson Love is gone, other bridges on smaller roads are gone, and even bridges in other towns if they are standing have been deemed unsafe. Lots of detours or entire roads are gone and impassable until they get rebuilt. Who knows when that will be. Running service calls has been sporty trying to navigate closed roads and washed out bridges in the area when I am going into neighboring towns. Johnson City has luckily been sitting pretty, but my service area includes those towns devastated by the floods.
Trucks are dropping supplies off at Mormon churches donated by that church, not the polygamist Mormons, the real Mormons. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. People always get them confused or think all Mormons have multiple spouses. Anyways, tractor trailers are showing up at those church parking lots and church members and other volunteers are unloading them into personal trucks and trucks that can haul trailers. Anyone with a truck was getting loaded with supplies to deliver into the areas that were hit hard with the flooding here locally.
A Mormon church in Johnson City had a tractor trailer full of water delivered this morning and members of the church along with other volunteers unloaded it into personal trucks to drive them into heavily damaged areas. Another Mormon church out in Greeneville had 5 tractor trailers delivered today with water and other supplies. The government might not be doing what they should, I don't know that, but the local Mormon churches are trucking in massive supplies to give out to anyone who needs it. Mormon Helping Hands, I think that is what they call it. I volunteered with that group back in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans gutting homes & then treating the homes with anti-mold sprays for local first responders that were destroyed by flooding. We camped at local Mormon churches and they opened up their bathrooms to use while camping there. The Mormons are the real deal for humanitarian relief. No strings attached. Just helping people. Nice to see.

@@MikeyPipesUncensored Yeah man. National Guard is for sure here in our area doing their thing too. Several big military vehicles and heavy machinery. We have military helicopters flying overhead making trips down to heavily hit areas. Sometimes it is just one and sometimes they are flying in groups. Not sure if they are searching for people or delivering supplies in areas where the roads are gone. We have never seen them around here before. We have tiny back roads around here that were completely smoked along with numerous bridge failures. It is pretty wild. I am way slower than I should be right now, but when I do get calls from people I have to ask if roads are still intact so that I can get to their place. I have one today where the bridge is screwed, so I have to take a detour route in order to make it to their home. Like I said, Johnson City had some power outages due to falling trees and had some homes damaged by trees as well. We didn't get the flooding like Erwin, Elizabethton, Embreeville, Hampton, Butler, Greeneville etc.
