    My father Jim Donovan worked as a Coal Trimmer at the dock, a dangerous job. He lost his fingers in a coal shoot accident. Thank you for the video so many memories.

    All my family were Docks People and knew lots of Docks gossip! Who was who etc and what was what! Happy memories

    Brilliant selection of photos, one of the locomotives based at my local heritage railway (the Garw Valley Railway) came from Cardiff, though not from the docks but Ely Paper Mills, do you know what music this is?

    I always heard alot about Cardiff docks my uncle worked in queen Alexander dock

    In 1913, Barry was the largest coal exporting docks in the world, not Cardiff.

    If anyone has a picture of SteamShip Ulla Boog that delivered pit props in the 1940's She was later named SS Mary Baird I would be very gratefull thanks.
