I love how Sin's theme perfectly fits what he went through in Strive. He *had a reason to cry* because of how underpowered he's been for the longest time, ever since his release. He *had a reason to be angry* because despite all his weaknesses he still tried to get out of the bottom tiers and go higher, only to be pushed back again and again. And yet all Sin mains *don't care* , and keep on playing as him, hoping for the best and thinking that *it'll work out* eventually, all the while keeping on going with what *they are feeling* . And now look at our boy. He's grown so strong so fast 🥺🥺💕 *It worked out*
Not to be a doomer but like..... What did he get that everyone else didn't? Frankly it feels like him getting the new offensive mechanic was the only significant change, aside from that his problems didn't really get addressed.
Faster far slash, Hawkbaker follow up launches higher for better confirms, his specials are slightly better across the board, they made clean hit barrel timing more lenient, Kara Supers don’t consume stamina, and buffs via system mechanic changes. Sin was never unplayable, but he had alot of small buffs he needed to put him on the same playing field, which he got most of. The only thing they didn’t touch was eat, unfortunately.
@JohnGlow2 Hawk baker and elk hunt were the only specials that got touched. Yeah they're definitely better and make his combo game more consistent, elk being good for his pressure, but beak driver and his over head didn't get touched. The over head is still one of the slowest in the game and beak driver is still incredibly minus and whiff punishable. And yeah while the Kara cancel change makes it to where he doesn't have as much stamina issues as before, he still definitely has them. I'm sure these other changes that were made to compensate for these problems will shine more over time, but I really don't feel like they gave him what he needed to actually stand out especially when other characters got way better stuff.
Setting a dash macro makes it easy to do, on my ps5 controller I have my set to L2 so the input is something like this for any special move. Elk Hunt: 236K(K for the follow up) L2 236236P. You can also kara cancel RTL the same way but because the input is 63214789HS it's definitely much harder to do not impossible tho
@@Kio9 tbh, Sin's damage is not that special. Some combos can be juicy but you need a clean opening to convert, when half of a roster can kill with a few stray hits.

faster Elk Hunt, higher attack level on 5H for easier frame traps, 2H and Hawk Baker (dp) got better as combo tools

Just channel your inner 5 year old and CHURN THE HECK OUT OF YOUR stick/pad with the command dash. It will work out.
