as a beginner I personally love the push fit, it's just so much easier and less stressful in my opinion

Man after building the redemptor dread I am envious of how easy that ballistus was to snap together without having to build every single portion of it down to the toes of the model.
It was definitely a more straightforward build! 😁
Why can't they all just be push fit? Why is it that only Blood Angels get to use Librarian Dreadnoughts? I'd love to have 3 of them, right next to 3 Redemptor Dreadnoughts, 3 Ballistus Dreadnoughts and 3 Brutallis Dreadnoughts. I fully intend, one day, to make an army purely of Dreadnoughts and 1 Terminator Captain. I WILL be that guy... The guy who took all of the Dreadnoughts. I got my 2 Ballistus on eBay. Looking to add a third at the end of the month. They are usually way cheaper than GW also. The place where he get's exhausted? I didn't know that Dreadnoughts needed brothels? P.S. People tend to not like pushfit because it often means the sculpt is monopose, meaning if you have multiple of them they will all be in the same pose
That does make sense! Not so bad for rarer units but standard troops? Not so good 😅
@@AdeptusArtifexus It's really obvious with stuff like the Infernus Marine box, too. It's two sprues of the same five marines, so you get a sergeant, a guy doing the same pose as the sergeant, and four sets of twins. It's like a magic eye puzzle where if you jumble the squad around on the table it's not too bad, but if you line them up for storage/display and end up putting all the twins together, it's kind of vaguely unsettling.
Also, I think a lot of people have a bad impression of push-fit kits because the name implies they don't need gluing. So if you just push all the pieces together, lego style, and then try to prime and paint, you're going to have a bad time.
what grit of sandpaper do you use? and is it just to clean up where you've snipped the parts off the sprue?
It's 600 grit if my memory serves me 😁 & that's a big part of it's use, yeah! Or indeed just to smooth anything that's better smoothed! 😄
I think people don't like push-fit because of the lack of customization and posing options, but otherwise they're pretty much fine and usually come cheap in box sets
I'm sure with enough clippers & knives & glue one could make them more poseable! 😂
@AdeptusArtifexus yeah, but it's kinda hard to replace the shoulder pads of a marine when it's attached to the arm
