When I moved into a house I had on Long Island there was a central system installed in the house that was in perfect working order except that the motor was blown in its canister which was smaller in length but wider in circumference that the Beam shown here. It was mounted on a wall about five feet off the ground in an area of in an alcove. The electrical outlet was right next to it and I wasn’t about to replace the motor and filters that I didn’t know if I could obtain any longer so I went to Sears and bought their biggest and tallest shop vac which had the same diameter hose as the pipe that led into the system. I placed it under the hanging broken central unit, plugged it in and stuck the hose into the pipe. It even drove my Wessel-Werk turbo nozzle on my rugs.

Could you imagine two 30 amp MD's put together. Aside from the lights in the house dimming from the sudden power draw, the waterlift and CFM would be amazing

Very large homes do exactly that. Often times two double vacuum systems on two sides of the house even.

wholud you recomend beam or MD for a 6 inlet house with pets? in considering one of these

The Big bag of a MD or VacuFlo would be welcome edition if you have pets. I would look at the M715H or DB8000

These beam units are one of the only beam units that are somewhat decent in my opinion, still if an option I would not recommend this vacuum if you could avoid. By the way have you heard of Vacumaid bottom filter bag units? I have an SR38 and it seems to have a similar motor to MD flowmaster units, sadly they are not available here.

The SR 38 is going to be closer to the unit in this video then a MD. Most MD's are going to be a little bit more powerful and have a longer motor life.

You and your central vac propaganda has converted me, you can get the best of everything, and the only drawback is the cost. Do the ducts for the central vac need to be cleaned or are they self cleaning?

When installed right they do not need to be cleaned.
However if a fitting is installed backwards or you suck up water then it would need to be cleaned.
Thank you for watching my central vacuum propaganda!

There’s an MD that sucks water up. My friend had it in Michigan and it even drained into the sewage system. He used to freak people out by filling up the kitchen sink and vacuuming it out just for fun.
